Mounted within the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty is a sonnet by Emma Lazarus, "The New Colossus"; where she evokes images of the ancient Colossus of Rhodes, and calls the gift from France, "the Mother of Exiles."

Is this system broken beyond repair? We're not attempting to make a decision toward that end, today. However, whatever happens next, I hope we can take a pretty word or two with us here and there, and a sweet idea with us every now and then; you know, for the kids 😁. Perhaps there are some things worth holding on to for them

_ _ _ _ _ _

The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" by @go.de.lus

The manifestation of celestial compassion, Guanyin, heard the endless cries of suffering from this earth; and in great tension, her head split into eleven to better hear the cries from all directions. Drawn to act, her arms split into one thousand to better console a humanity writhing in darkness. Consolation of the vulnerable is a potential living within all forms of awareness. And the heavens descend one bit closer to earth in the act of kindness and compassion. by @go.de.lus

Praeter - beyond/outside

Natura - Nature/that which is born

There exists that which is outside the cycles of birth and death. It is outside the wanton, slighted enterprise of man. It is Sound that passes through the veil to you.

PRÆTER·NATURA is the liberation of the being through sound, sound is a progeny of the DJ who transmutes light infinitum into form and flavor.
