My therapist and I were joking about this earlier this year.

Luckily she's great and funny and we were actually just reflecting on the responsibility of keeping our mindsets healthy when you can't just check out of work and leave at the end of the day.

Actually one of the most valued things for me in my little business is being part of that exact challenge with the businesses I work with.

It's possible that someone who isn't in this space can't fully understand the stresses sme's face.

There has been a lot of changes in the last month in my life. It’s been disregulating but I’m trying to hold the rudder steady so to speak. The best thing that has come of it is a sense of deeper focus because I’m able to go deeper in the things I really love working on. Today I’ve been building a replicable funnel which means a cold lead becomes someone delivered value that makes my client memorable. I like that bit. by @go.you.co

I’ve been really polishing up a Google Ad account the last couple of days and it’s this level of satisfaction. Like the smell of freshly cut lawn 🤩 The best thing about having a bit of data under your belt, ie it’s been running for a while, is you have a baseline of behaviours and conversion data. Nothing is perfect over night but polishing and checking and maintaining the ads is such an important part of keeping them fresh. by @go.you.co

This idea has caveats of course. But generally things/products/businesses don’t come out of the creative womb walking and talking like a fully functional thing. The process of “making it exist” may have a lot of steps. In my experience a starting point with any project involves testing and polishing and adjusting. It’s great when you can work with people who are open and communicate during this process. I’ve been talking to my friend interstate recently about how astonishingly unpro some businesses processes are and they seem to make money and pay their staff. I kind of love it. If you aren’t optimised up to your eyeballs but you are running a business I say Go You! You’ve started! Even if it was twenty years ago you always have room to grow and get more efficient.
