Lucky bhai, today,,,, please give her a name. These words were spoken by Veeru. I had already chosen a name for her many days ago, but I was waiting for the right moment & her perfect photograph,,,, Honestly, I was waiting for this very day.

On this blessed month of Ramadan, I felt it was the perfect time. So Ramadan Mubarak to all of you. And congratulations to all of us on our Rani’s Chanda. From today onwards, we will lovingly call her CHANDA

May this holy month bring peace, happiness, and countless blessings into all our lives. May Chanda shine bright just like the moon she is named after, and may her journey always be filled with love and protection.

Once again, RAMADAN 🌙 Mubarak to EVERYONE 🙏

I am Goalkeeper Lucky & I don’t just travel, I lead the experience.

MAA

From the other side of the road, Mala called out to her cubs before settling on the riverbank. It was a beautiful winter morning, bathed in soft golden sunlight, and what was about to unfold was nothing short of magical.
She reached the water's edge, quenched her dry throat, and kept calling to her cubs between every sip. They were somewhere nearby, but no one knew exactly where. After a while, she began walking across the river. Watching this magnificent creature gracefully step over the rocks was a truly heartwarming sight.
She kept moving forward, calling them again and again. Then suddenly, a familiar response echoed through the valley—they had arrived.
One cub rushed straight to its mother and clung to her as if trying to gather every bit of her love before its sibling could. Mala embraced it with all the affection a mother could give, but her eyes were still searching for the other cub. Moments later, the second one appeared. Perhaps it was the older of the two.
It, too, received the same warmth and unconditional love. Soon, the three of them crossed the river together and disappeared into the forest, leaving behind a promise that one day, they would meet again. by @goalkeeperlucky

Sidhbaba Subadult

It has been almost eighteen years since I first became connected with the jungle. For all those years, apart from Dhikala, I had never explored any other forest.
In 2022, I started visiting Rajaji. You could say that God entrusted me with the responsibility of introducing Rajaji to the world. I accepted that responsibility, and I believe I'm still doing my best to fulfill it.
The truth is, I never really got the chance to see any other forests. Corbett is right next to me, making it easily accessible, and almost every month, I would spend three nights in Dhikala. If four nights had been allowed, I would happily have stayed four, but the rule was a maximum of three. So, month after month, right up until 2022, I kept returning to Dhikala.
Once I started visiting Rajaji, my Corbett trips became less frequent. Instead of going every month, I managed only one or two visits during the season.
Now, let me tell you about this photograph.
Last year, I finally got the opportunity to visit Bandhavgarh. It had been a dream for a long time. I had always wanted to witness the beauty of this incredible forest, and the magnificent tigers of Bandhavgarh had lived in my imagination for years. Every time I saw photographs taken there, they filled me with excitement and made me wish I could visit as soon as possible.
Eventually, that dream came true.
I went to Bandhavgarh, and the tiger sightings were simply spectacular. The tigers there are absolutely stunning. I had an excellent driver, a knowledgeable guide, and overall, from a tiger-sighting perspective, the experience was outstanding.
But if I'm being completely fair and honest, if I truly compare the experience, I have to say that the love, the warmth, the peace, and the feeling that Dhikala gives me is something I couldn't find in Bandhavgarh.
That's purely my personal opinion and my own perspective.
After that, I also visited Ranthambore. The tiger sightings there were incredible too, but even then, for me, nothing could match Dhikala.

Anyway, today I'm sharing one of my favourite photographs from the beautiful forests of Bandhavgarh
I hope you'll enjoy it.

Will this tiny egg ever grow wings?

That day, while searching for the big cat, we had made our way back to the main gate. Suddenly, a magnificent bird appeared high in the sky—the one often called the Tiger of the Sky. As it soared, its powerful wings seemed to fill the air with a beautiful melody.
"Look... a Great Hornbill."
Moments later, it landed on a nearby tree. To our surprise, it began tearing apart the branches. It didn't take long to realize that it was destroying the nest of a much smaller bird. The hornbill's beak is incredibly powerful. The little bird fought with all its courage, trying desperately to save its home. But not everyone can truly understand the pain of watching your home being destroyed.
The heartbreak didn't end there. The greatest shock came when the hornbill pulled out the tiny egg from the nest. Imagine the agony of those parents, forced to watch both their home and their unborn child disappear before their eyes. That little life, which never even got the chance to enter this world, became food for another.
Such is the law of nature. If not always, then most of the time, the stronger one prevails.
That day, nature taught me one simple truth: It is our duty to keep trying. Whether we win or lose is never entirely in our hands. 🙏 by @goalkeeperlucky

Writing
During those days, I was staying at the Dholkhand Forest Rest House deep inside the jungle. The guests accompanying me were from Kolkata, Ghosh Da & friends they all love for the forest was truly remarkable. He had just one request for me: "Lucky, no matter what, I want to spend at least one night at the Forest Rest House."
Fortunately, we did, and we spent two unforgettable nights in the heart of the jungle.
On the second morning, Ghosh Da told me, "We'll take it slow today. We'll sit here at the Forest Rest House, enjoy our tea, and simply soak in the beauty of nature." I replied, "I'll leave on time for the safari and come back to pick you up later."
As I drove away, I reached the old banyan tree just before sunrise. It wasn't fully daylight yet. The reddish glow you see in this video is completely natural—it was that magical moment when darkness and dawn blended together.
Then, in the distance, a magnificent King Cobra began crossing the track.
I instinctively grabbed my driver's hand and squeezed it tightly. He looked at me and said, "Sir, I thought it was just a fallen log." The previous day had brought heavy rain, and the forest floor was still wet, making it easy to mistake the snake for a piece of wood.
But for those who truly understand wildlife, witnessing a creature like the King Cobra in its natural habitat, in its own home, is nothing short of extraordinary.
In those few precious moments, my entire journey felt complete. It was an unforgettable sighting, and the King Cobra behaved with remarkable calm and grace, allowing us to admire it from a respectful distance.
I wanted to share this special experience with all of you, and I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Elephant

The elephant has always been the true symbol of Rajaji. Seeing this magnificent giant in its own home is a deeply fulfilling experience. Its sheer size and majestic presence remind us that it is the true king of the jungle.

Mala was searching for her cubs that day, the very place where she had kept and raised them throughout the season, around the rocky outcrops.

She came from the Andheri side, crossed the main road, and then climbed onto the rocks on the right. Sitting there for a while, she began calling out to her cubs. After that, she walked down to drink some water, and once she had finished, she moved a little farther ahead.

This photograph holds an entire story. It tells the beautiful moment when Mala called for her cubs, and one by one they came running towards her. To witness this scene with my own eyes and capture it through my camera is a memory I will treasure forever.

I lived every moment behind this photograph. In the soft, humming warmth of the sunlight, the first cub arrived and gently rubbed its body against its mother. Soon the second cub appeared and did exactly the same. Mala responded with the affection only a mother can give. Moments later, all the cubs were together,,,jumping, playing, and filling the forest with life.

It was an incredibly beautiful sight, one that quietly makes you smile from within. Moments like these fill your heart with gratitude and leave you humbled before nature.

You realize that it is not only humans who love, nurture, and protect their children. God has taught every living creature how to love. Perhaps hatred is the only lesson that humans have chosen to learn on their own. by @goalkeeperlucky

That day, deep inside the river area (BEENZ RAU) far away on the other side, a leopard crossed. And there was a gentleman who is a very famous driver of Raja Ji. He suddenly started saying, “Heera, Heera has appeared, Heera has appeared. Heera is gone, Heera has gone.” He called his guests with great excitement and kept saying, “Heera has come out.”
Well, even I did not know whether it was Heera or some other leopard. Aman and I looked at each other and smiled. I didn’t say anything, but Aman said, “Brother, he recognized the leopard from such a distance and declared that Heera has appeared.”

I told Aman, “Come on, let’s move from here, because I had seen Heera on the dark forest trail just half an hour ago. It was raining, and the weather was completely wet. Leopards usually don’t walk long distances in the rain. They don’t like putting their paws on wet surfaces or moving around in water.”

I didn’t have photographer with me that day, although the person with me was a senior officer from Indian Govt., and his entire family was there. He asked me, “Sir, was this the same leopard that we saw here earlier?” I replied, “No sir, identifying a leopard from such a distance is extremely difficult.”

But this is how it works here — if I tell you something, you will believe me. A little while later, the leopard you can see in this picture came out and sat there. It was only two or three minutes after we were still talking, and suddenly Heera appeared.

Aman again started laughing loudly, looked at me, and said something. I told him, “Son, stay quiet.” Because they say, silence is often the best choice — one silence can bring a hundred joys.

Enjoy this beautiful picture, and if possible, do visit Raja Ji Tiger Reserve.
