I am SOOO EXCITED to include this in my daily routine and be able to WALK while I work.

I’ve started using the WalkingPad A1 Pro with the ETD3 Mobile Standing Desk, and it makes getting my steps in feel so much less like another thing I need to “fit in.”

Emails? Walk.
Calls? Walk.
Working? Walk.
Trying to hit my step goal before the day gets away from me? Also… walk.

It’s such a simple way to add more movement into my day, especially on those days when finding time for a dedicated walk feels impossible.

And the fact that the A1 Pro folds away when I’m done is a huge space-saving bonus!

If you’ve been wanting to get more steps in without adding another workout to your schedule, this has been such a good addition to my routine 👟

I’m not even drinking a sip of water or brushing my teeth before I step on that thing.

But always after I use the bathroom - #1 and #2 😉

Oh and don’t forget to place it in the specific spot on the floor that reads the lowest weight 😂

Everyone wants a magic trick or a quick fix - I did too.

But I was able to reduce my MET-IR score (metabolic score used to estimate how sensitive your body is to insulin) from 64.6 (high risk!!) to 51.8 (just over the optimal less than 50.4 threshold) in only 11 weeks! And I’m still working to bring it down!

This was by doing these 5 boring things consistently.

Save these to refer back to later if you are also on a health journey and trying to lower and eliminate your insulin resistance - #4 is my favourite 💗

1️⃣ Walking after dinner - nothing fancy, just moving more in general. Even a 10-20 minute walk after meals can help your body manage blood sugar better.

2️⃣ Overnight fasting - NOT extreme fasting, I’m not talking any 16:8. Just a mindful overnight fast. This helps with the late night snacking and gives my body a break between dinner and breakfast. Snacks still do happen every so often, consistency over perfection!

3️⃣ Veggies first - I try to eat veggies first during meals. I don’t stress about it but when I can I make it happen. This also shows up as eating more raw veggies as snacks throughout the day (before meals). Hello fibre! And I eat mostly savoury breakfasts over sweet to start my day. If you haven’t heard of @glucosegoddess go check her out. She is a wealth of resources for managing blood sugar- I learned this tip from her!

4️⃣ Strength training - Building muscle is a game changer. Especially as we age. Muscle helps store and use glucose more effectively, which can improve insulin sensitivity over time. And it gets that booty poppin 🍑

5️⃣ Losing body fat - this one may not be what you want to hear, but it is definitely the number one way to improve insulin resistance. Carrying less excess body fat improves insulin sensitivity. Period. I have lost 40lbs so far on my 100lb weight loss journey - and it’s definitely helping!

My doctor said as I lose more weight and keep up with these habits, she is confident I can completely reverse my insulin resistance!!

None of these are revolutionary.

They just worked.

A little reminder for the woman who thinks she’s left it too late…

Maybe you wish you started sooner.
Maybe you’ve spent years losing and gaining the same weight.
Maybe you’re looking at your age and wondering if it’s even worth trying again.

I get it. I’ve been there.

But we cannot change the years behind us. And we don’t get to decide that the best years for growth, change and transformation are already behind us.

You are allowed to wish you’d done things differently AND be excited about what you can still do.

Your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond are not a write-off.

Stop counting yourself out before you even give yourself a chance.

We’re not chasing perfection. We’re building habits, getting stronger and creating a life we actually want to live.

It’s not too late. Your next chapter is still yours to write.
I’m turning 40 in a few days and I’m down 53.4 lbs and counting. Looking forward to making this my best decade yet!

Send this to a woman who needs the reminder today 💗

Well, here we are. November 1st. Four days until I turn 40 🙃

And honestly? I’m pretty f*cking excited.

I’m not starting this decade at the beginning of my 100-lb weight-loss journey. I’m already 53.4 lbs down, with less than half to go—and that feels pretty damn good.

Entering a new decade is a milestone. Doing it while taking back my health? That hits differently.

And being a millennial I don’t like 40, right? RIGHT?! Haha that’s what I’m going with anyway…

Here are 5 reasons I’m excited to turn 40:

✨ 1. My confidence era.
I’m caring less about what others think and more about what I want. I’m learning to trust myself, keep promises to myself and stop waiting for permission to put myself first.

✨ 2. Playing the long game.
I want energy, strength, mobility and the ability to keep up with my family. I’m not slowing down at 40—I’m building a foundation for the decades ahead.

✨ 3. Knowing better—and doing better.
The last 25+ years were full of quick fixes, restrictive diets and starting over every Monday. Now I know sustainable habits beat another 30-day transformation.

✨ 4. Celebrating more than the scale.
The 53.4 lbs lost is incredible, but so are changing my relationship with food, breaking old patterns, getting stronger and learning that progress doesn’t require perfection.

✨ 5. Becoming the example I want to set.
I’m proving to myself, and anyone watching, that taking care of yourself matters, you can change direction at any age and it’s never too late to try again.

I’m not turning 40 with everything figured out. I’m turning 40 with more self-awareness, confidence, better habits and so much excitement for what’s ahead.

If you’re approaching 40, already in your 40s or starting over on a journey of your own, remember:

You aren’t behind. You aren’t too late. Your next chapter can be your best one yet 💗

Here’s to making our 40s the decade we stop starting over and start showing up for ourselves.

Who’s coming with me? by @gobeyonddayone

Its official!!

Out of the 190s!

It took a while and that’s okay. There were some days that I was upset with how long things were taking. How I would go back to old habits. The struggle bus was real!!

But this time, no matter what I chose to keep pushing forward.

Slow progress is progress!

And the biggest thing that has been helping me get back on track is my mindset. Really grounding in the small steps and habits that will get me where I want to be. Being okay with the slow progress. And making things simple, sustainable, and repeatable.

And most importantly knowing that as long as I’m consistent more times than not, I can and I will get there. Consistency doesn’t mean wavering back and forth from perfection. It means doing the things you say you’re going to do, most of the time, not all the time.

53.4 lbs down and counting and heading in to my 40s next week feeling great!!

Also, NSV - I hadn’t put on this t-shirt in a while and it noticeably felt a lot looser on me! Woot woot!

Let’s break the cycle 🔥
Let’s get it 💗

I loooove a good marinade! And even better when it’s simple!

We don’t need to complicate it. What I love about cooking is you don’t need to be so precise. So most of these ingredients I just eyeball.

Ingredients higher in calories (cough cough oil) or sugar (maple syrup/honey) I will measure to make sure I’m not getting cray cray and adding too many calories.

If you really want to break this marinade down it’s about 15cal per serving, so almost zero since this one is oil free!

Recipe:

4 chicken breasts (or thighs)
Solid squeeze of Dijon mustard
Generous sprinkle of garlic powder
Good shake of paprika
Sprinkle of Kinders The Blend (just use salt and pepper if you don’t have this)
Juice of 1/2-1 full lemon (don’t skip this!! It makes it more tender)

Poke chicken.
Add ingredients.
Stir it all up and preferably let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight. But you can do right before if in a pinch.

Eat this chicken as is with your sides. Or add to a salad, wrap, or whatever you’re feeling.

Enjoy 😋

Ladies, I’ve been on the struggle bus, but I’m finally getting off…

I’ve been stuck fluctuating around the SAME few pounds for the last month. Up, down, repeat.

But the last 1.5 weeks? I’ve dialled back in. More steps, consistent calorie deficit, and I’m feeling GOOD again. And the results are starting to show!

A reminder that you don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep going 💗

👇🏼 Now it’s YOUR turn!

How’s your weight loss journey going? GIFs only. No words 😂

Not me avoiding CARROTS because they had too many carbs 🥕

Years of diet culture really had me questioning some VEGETABLES.

Now? I’m eating more veggies. Having raw veggies cut up helps me get my fibre, stay fuller for longer, makes weight loss a whole lot less complicated, and reaaaaallly helps when those snack attacks hit and I need to grab something quick from the fridge.

Send this to someone who needs to hear it - EAT YOU VEG 🥦

You can’t build a new life with the belief that you’re incapable of changing 💗

You don’t need a perfect plan.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
And you definitely don’t need to get it right every time.

You just need to believe you’re capable of learning, growing, and figuring it out along the way.

✨ Save this for the days you doubt yourself.
🤍Share it with someone who needs the reminder.

Down 52 lbs and counting, and I’m not following a lot of the rules we’ve been told we NEED to follow to lose weight.

Here are 7 things I don’t stress about:

🍕 Eating only clean — I eat pizza, sweets, carbs and all the foods I love. I just prioritize protein and fibre, too.

🌙 Never eating at night — If I’m hungry or want a snack, I have one. The time I eat isn’t what determines my progress. But generally not eating after dinner keeps me on point with my calorie target.

🥗 Meal prepping every Sunday — Simple, repeatable meals for the win. No elaborate meal prep required. Although planning ahead and cutting up quick grab and go veggies helps when a snack attack hits!

🥤 Giving up Diet Coke — I’m a Diet Coke stan forever.

📉 Eating in a deficit 24/7 — A calorie deficit drives weight loss, but taking occasional breaks to eat closer to maintenance can be part of a sustainable approach.

📝 Tracking every calorie forever — Tracking can be a useful learning tool, but I don’t believe I need to do it forever to build sustainable habits.

⏰ Eating 5–6 meals to boost my metabolism — I prefer 3–4 larger meals. Find a meal pattern that works for YOU.

Here’s the thing: weight loss doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective.

You don’t need to follow every rule, cut out your favourite foods, or turn your entire life upside down.

Focus on the fundamentals. Find habits you can repeat. Give them time to work. A calorie deficit consistently over time will ALWAYS win!

Simple. Sustainable. Repeatable💗

🤍SAVE this for the next time you feel overwhelmed by all the weight loss rules you read on the internet.

Let’s break the cycle. Let’s get it! 🔥

Let’s go!!!!

Down a pound this week 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼

These are the things that made this happen this week:

Back to my simple meals on repeat
No snacking between meals
Increasing my steps back to 10k+
CONSISTENCY

I ate a whole other Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, including apple pie and ice cream. And leftovers on Monday. And these are still my results!!

Calorie deficit over time by being consistent, not perfect, will get you there!!

I’m officially hit 52 lbs down!! Woot woot!!

Let’s break the cycle 🔥
No more restarting, just keep going 💗
