60-70% reality and 40-30% of fiction is a VisDev formula that works well in creating fictional worlds. I am a believer that an artist should draw from within themselves. I live in the city at the Mediterranean, so it would be obvious to paint sun and clear skies. But as a local I know how common is fog. Now, a part of me longs for the Megapolis infrastructure having been formed in large European capital. So from what I have and what I lack and from what I see in real life and my interests I combined a picture of what could exist in another universe. by @gobriy

Illustration for a piece about immigration. Living in a new land is a beautiful experience, but bureaucracy for an expat is several levels up from paperwork at home. by @gobriy

In presence of a foreign enemy people’s ability to stand for a cause is limited.

In peacetime the balance between the government and people’s will is easier to maintain. However in a state of war to manage a threat from outside demands quick decisions and states can lean authoritarian to achieve that.

The Ukrainians are struggling under double pressure. Yet they manage to defend the country from r***ian invasion and from internal threats and I am immensely proud of them.

A carton has become yet another symbol of will, resistance and a very Ukrainian thing. by @gobriy

Authors portrait: Kazuo Ishiguro and his characters. One thing then strikes when reading his works is that the characters they seem to observe their lives from a distance. If authors works show their perspective, then wouldn’t he too be observing them from afar before leaving them to fare in the worlds of his making? by @gobriy

Connecting unconnectable that often comes with a headache.

This is spot iilos for an article about creative entrepreneurs - yes, that’s everyone involved, from project manager, to AD to motion designer to freelancer connecting all dots in how something intangible yet extremely valuable gets produced and monetized. Special shoutout to everyone who’s struggling with Instagram reach - you get twice the headache but we will pull through 😂 by @gobriy
