🏆 TEAM OF THE WEEK 🏆

Your Centenary Ladies women’s soccer team has been selected as Centenary Athletics’ Team of the Week after battling to a 2-2 tie on the road at Dallas in SCAC play! ⚽

Freshman Valerie Miranda (Venus, Texas) scored both goals, giving her 10 on the season. That’s the sixth-most in a single season in the D3 era (2011-present), and one more goal moves her into the top five. She’s also tied for ninth all-time in program history for career goals, and her 22 points this season are sixth-most in the D3 era. She was named SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday! 🔥

Miranda opened the scoring in the 16th minute and struck again in the 37th, with freshman Teagan Bollwerk (Dalton, Ga.) assisting. Senior Sarah Crenshaw (Alexandria, La.) was part of the passing sequence that set up the second goal. 👏

Up next: Friday at 7:30 PM at Concordia in Austin, Texas.

Come out and support the team! ⚽ 🔴 ⚪

Let's go Ladies! 💪 ⚽ 🔥

Congratulations to freshman F/MF Valerie Miranda (Venus, Texas) on being named Athlete of the Week! 🎉⚽

Valerie continued her remarkable rookie campaign by scoring both of the Ladies’ goals in their 2-2 tie at the University of Dallas on Friday in Irving, Texas. She now has 10 goals this season and recorded her third multi-goal match of the year.

Her 10 goals and 22 points are each the sixth-most in a single season in the Division III era (2011-present), and one more goal will move her into the top five. She is also already tied for ninth all-time in program history for career goals.

Miranda gave the Ladies a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute with a rocket past multiple Dallas defenders, then struck again in the 37th minute off a perfect pass from freshman MF Teagan Bollwerk (Dalton, Ga.), who set up the goal after a sequence that also included senior MF Sarah Crenshaw (Alexandria, La.).

Way to go, Valerie! 👏
