This is a thank you post to MSSM Alumni Class of ‘06. WE DID THIS! 🌟🌟🌟

What an eventful and fulfilling day today was. Today the MSSM alumni class of ‘06 successfully marked our 20th anniversary post graduation by giving back something that would benefit the school that served as our spring board into the world, and to the students we met here 20 years after.
The Library Legacy project was birthed from our collective desire to encourage the reading culture, promote independent learning for the students and uplift the learning environment of the school.
In addition to this, tuition for 5 students was donated and a HP laptop donated to the best student of this present school session.

The success of this event was made possible by the dedication to service, and the generous contributions from our alumni members, here in Abuja, across Nigeria, and in the diaspora. I’m so proud of everyone of us, and the school management and students were so full of gratitude today, it warmed my heart. by @gochicc

In the spirit of Fridayyyy I’m throwing it back to last Sunday. I have been locked in deep in this second half of the year and I needed to come up for some air 😮‍💨 and so despite the heavy downpour that day, my girls and I decided to go against all odds to the @allaboutrnb__ summer jam and YO! what a trip it was.

I wasn’t expecting a Rihanna- Beyoncé / Chris Brown - Usher R & B battle but I loved it so much. I’m a Riri girl 💄, but I still love B 🐝 🙂‍↕️ And as much as I enjoy Chris Brown’s music, Usher is the OG, how can you not love Usher 😭

This turned out to be a much needed unplanned workout and I enjoyed every bit 😂 It wouldn’t have been as much fun if I didn’t go with my girls @wite_rose and Bertha 🤗💕💕

When @udee__ invited me to the Creative Society hangout last week, I didn’t realize I would be walking into @dotundavid_popoola ‘s whimsical retro metallic storybook. I’ll skip the part about the beautiful scenery and natural spaces of Three Bridges park by @villagebytikera and go straight to this junkyard gallery.

The entrance is designed like a clockwork.
The profound thing about this is that as you step in, it feels like you’re walking into a timeline. Literally.
Past, present, future. For me, it was a fusion of the past and the present.
Something about seeing the beautiful masterpieces made from scraps, broken, condemned, discarded, forgotten. It reminded me of the saying - “broken crayons color too”.
Everywhere I turned, there was a piece of art, all with the same story in different versions- “I was broken, I was discarded. I didn’t know I would still become something. Yet my creator rewrote my story, took my broken pieces and turned it into a work of art that has meaning and purpose.”
If this doesn’t remind me of God, I don’t know what else can, because this is what it means to be a Creator.
I love the hope this gives- that regardless of your history, your past, your Creator isn’t done with you.
Just let Him cook, and even you would be amazed at what He will make of you.
“Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it been placed in the heart of man…”
“There is therefore now no condemnation…”
You’re part of a bigger picture.

Side note: This song came up on my playlist sometime last week (for the first time in a very long time) and for some reason I can’t explain, I put it on repeat.
It spoke to something deep in me and I played it over and over with tears in my eyes.
Then I walked into this place and the dots connected instantly.
There’s a message for every season, and the universe is always trying to communicate with us, if only we are open to hear. by @gochicc

The #Sanesiders in Abuja are up!
I always want to be in rooms where insightful conversations are held, where my mind is fed and nurtured, where clarity of path is gained and my sense of purpose gets sharpened.
Just got back from a soul stirring and impactful meeting @beyondconvention_ with @eric_gugua and the Sanesiders in Abuja, and it felt great to be in a gathering of very brilliant minds who are dissatisfied with mediocrity and are hungry and passionate for growth. by @gochicc

Everything beautiful, Hallelujah.
Birthday dinner last night ✨
I had a BEAUTIFUL day yesterday, my heart was (and still is) so full. I’m thankful for the gift of family, for thoughtful friends, for supportive relationships, for love and for life. It’s a beautiful thing to give love and see it reciprocated; to be given your flowers while you’re still alive is a blessing I don’t take for granted 🥹❤️

Hubby ended the day for me with a beautiful dinner date at @fieldandoceanng 🤌🏾 The food tasted wonderful and it was an amazing 10/10 experience 🤗❤️ by @gochicc
