I haven’t made a post like this in forever, but I’ve been obsessed with this @myka9 verse recently off this track from Freestyle Fellowship’s super underrated 2011 LP, and I feel pretty much obliged to share it, since This Write Here is a pretty slept on song, and every verse on it is golden. #hiphop #rap #freestyle #rapper #freestylerap #freestylefellowship by @godbars

@runthejewels @killermike @thereallyrealelp @oldmanebro @rosenbergradio Being a fan of hip hop takes effort, it’s easy to get into ONE sub genre or even movement of hip hop, but doing what people like El-P do is exactly why they’re still relevant and making great music. They always were open and WILLING to learn about new styles or sub genres in hip hop, so they were able to incorporate parts of that while still keeping the style that originally made them what they are. Having this attitude is EXACTLY why every RTJ album SLAPS so hard, literally as hard if not harder then ANY popular trap album, and that’s not a coincidence. Learning about all the different scenes and times of hip hop is something I feel like grateful to even be able to do in the first place, I can just listen to any classic from any era whenever I want, and even with allll the ones I’ve heard there’s ALWAYS more and that’s so exciting to me. It shouldn’t be a chore to learn to love different hip hop it’s so rewarding and fun, and the people who are in their 20s like me or younger who say shit like “hip hop is dead it was so much better in the 90s” really have no excuse Bc they don’t even have nostalgia for that time, they’re just trying to SEEM like hip hop heads but they don’t have any interest in actually listening to hip hop by @godbars
