A masterpiece with a master’s degree!!!!! 🤍🤍🤍

I’m proud to announce that I’m officially a part of the 4% of Black SLPs.

I wouldn’t have made it through this journey without my friends, family, professors who pushed me, and God. I still remember applying to school and not getting in the first time, fighting to observe the speech therapist at my old job just to learn more about the field, navigating the worst imposter syndrome known to man, and having no mentor who looked like me to consult with. Honestly, meeting few Black SLPs in general showed me just how important representation is in this field.

But I knew this was what I wanted. I never invested in a Plan B because this was never optional for me. I put everything into this journey, and it feels so good to finally say:

Talia Miller, M.A., CF-SLP ✨

I want to thank the people who opened doors for me, especially the first Black speech therapist, Hallie Quinn Brown, and the clients who trusted me with their journeys.

Here’s to the Black SLP baddie with tattoos and piercings walking into rooms she never thought she’d make it into. 🤍🤎🤍 #kean2026 by @goddessxgarnet
