Halloween is the biggest doorbell night of the year. 🎃🚪
Here are a couple tips so you and your pup are ready:
1️⃣ Sit outside with the candy. No doorbell, no meltdown. (Staying in? Put up a sign or disconnect the doorbell.)
2️⃣ Give your dog a safe spot away from the door, like behind a baby gate.
3️⃣ Leash on, tags on. It’s one of the easiest nights of the year for a dog to slip out the front door.

Listens at home… but not on walks?
That’s normal. Your living room is easy. The sidewalk has cars, smells, neighbors and other dogs. So that’s where we practice: loose-leash walking on the street, staying calm around other dogs, and settling back down at home.

Taking Chloe on her first leash lesson 🐾

She’s a 4 month old German Shepherd, and loves to bite other dogs at home (a little too hard), as well as act up on the leash when out with other dogs too

So, we’re bringing her on a walk alongside Ares to get some reps in and stop the bad leash manners and start getting her used to being calm around other dogs

Lots of progress made already - she’s going to be a fantastic dog for her family!
