The game’s already slowing down for him 😤

Jackson Nash continues to show why he’s one to keep an eye on. The Class of 2029 guard had his full arsenal on display at the Durham Takeover—making big shots when they mattered most, creating for others, and finishing through traffic with confidence. He’s the type of guard who impacts winning in more ways than one.

Expect him to play a major role for the NYL Puma U14 squad this AAU season. The foundation is there, and he’s only getting started. by @godsson2011

June is Men’s Mental Health Month: a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage honest conversations about mental health.

This month is especially meaningful to me. My father died by suicide when I was just two years old. Growing up without him had a profound impact on my life. There were many moments when I longed for his guidance, support, encouragement, and simply his presence.

While my father was gone, my older brother stepped up and became a positive role model and father figure in my life. His support, guidance, and example helped shape me into the man I am today.
Those experiences have influenced the kind of father I strive to be for my own son. They have taught me the importance of being present, showing up consistently, expressing love, and building a relationship grounded in trust and connection. A positive father-son relationship can have a lasting impact on a young person's confidence, resilience, self-worth, and overall well-being.

Men’s Mental Health Month reminds us that our presence matters, our conversations matter, and our mental health matters. By supporting one another and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, we can help create a healthier future for the next generation.

At Better Days Youth Services, we facilitate engaging and impactful mental health and wellness workshops and programs for youth sports teams, schools, and community organizations. Our workshops and programs are designed to help youth build confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, leadership skills, self-awareness, and positive coping strategies both in sports and everyday life. Through interactive discussions, mindfulness practices, and evidence-informed approaches, BDYS creates safe and supportive spaces where youth can grow, connect, and develop valuable life skills.

Today was bigger than basketball. The No Flukes After Hours Basketball Program took a group of inner-city youth athletes to Scotiabank Arena, giving them a once in a lifetime opportunity to step into a professional environment and represent themselves and their program on a major stage.

I’m grateful to be part of this program, contributing to an environment that prioritizes goal-setting, growth mindset, and mental wellness, helping youth athletes build resilience, self-awareness, and life skills that extend far beyond basketball.

A huge shoutout to Vaughan Alexander, the No Flukes Foundation @noflukesfoundation, and all of the coaches for their continuous mentorship, guidance, and unwavering commitment to uplifting youth and creating meaningful pathways for their growth...Both as athletes and as individuals.

Welcome to our little Frankie, our 4 month old Manitoba assortment!
He and his siblings were rescued by the amazing rescue @tailsfromthecrateinc from the side of the road in Manitoba and have graciously allowed us to adopt him.
