I learned today that one of my art school friends Kevin Spearey died at the weekend. A really nice man and a terrific shoot from the hip painter. He did this portrait of me at the easel in situ in a spare hour in the Swanston St studio back in 1971. I would say rest in peace, but I really think you should keep on painting Kev. by @godwinbradbeer

This biro drawing is from 1966 when I was 16. I copied it from a sculpture by Rodin called Danaid’ in a book that my parents gave me. Sixty years later I drew from the same source again - my previous post- with the modest addition of a red drape. Forever grateful for the gift of art books in my youth. by @godwinbradbeer

‘Red Rag Diptych’ at BMGArt Adelaide, in the exhibition ‘Sanctuary’. The smaller panel added six years after the main figure. A little miracle. (Can I say that?) by @godwinbradbeer

I am very proud of my brother Marks third published book on issues regarding Shakespeare authorship. This volume addresses the sonnets and presents the argument that they are correspondence between Amelia Lanyer (aka Amelia Bassano) and the Bard. As an academic text published by Routledge the physical volume is unfortunately quite (very) expensive. by @godwinbradbeer

I paid 18 euro at a Paris market yesterday for this; ‘Paradise Lost’ by John Milton , this edition 1765. Alternatively I could have bought a cafe au lait and a croque monsieur. by @godwinbradbeer
