A little campus stroll and a conversation about all things Trailblazers 🌤️👟 Goff students Martine and Reagan chat about Reagan’s experience in the program, from taking risks and trying new things to learning to look beyond the first problem in front of you. Goff gave Reagan the space to take risks, try new things, and rethink the way she approaches challenges.

What better way to enjoy the last bit of warm weather on campus than a walk and a chat about all things Explorers? ☀️🍂

Goff students Rane and Martine take a stroll through campus while chatting about Martine’s experience in the program, from learning new things on the job to building a supportive network through the Goff Fam.

One of Martine’s biggest takeaways: Goff has taught her to take what she learns and bring her own perspective to every new experience.

When Diego Alvarez first arrived at Google as an intern, he looked around at students from schools like Penn, USC and Berkeley, many with big-name internships already behind them, and wondered if he belonged.

Then the work started.

“Once I got into the work, I realized: I’ve done this before. I know how to navigate ambiguity, ask the right questions, and figure out what comes next.”

Diego participated in all four Goff programs during his time at the University of Utah. This week, he came back to share with current students how those experiences continue to shape the way he approaches his work, now as an Associate Product Marketing Manager at Google.

From navigating open-ended challenges to taking ownership and moving ideas forward, the skills Diego practiced as a student are showing up in his work today.

Thanks for coming back and sharing about life post-grad, Diego!

Ready to start building those skills? Spring 2027 applications for Goff Explorers + Trailblazers are open now.

Adela said the baddest aren’t always in LA… so we had to show you where they actually are 🤝

Here’s a sneak peek into one of our Pathfinders traditions: Big/Little reveals! Each Pathfinder gets paired with a mentor and a small group to build community, challenge each other, and practice and refine their leadership skills throughout the program. These relationships give Pathfinders a space to learn from one another, put leadership skills into practice, and grow throughout their Goff experience. We’re excited to see what these groups accomplish together this semester! by @goffinstitute
