What a whirlwind 48 hours! @americathefilm had its Los Angeles premiere at the 22nd Annual @hollyshorts festival where it played opening night! What an honor to represent on the carpet alongside this powerhouse team. Thank you @vanessahudgens @laurajaynenew and @morgankei for bringing me into the fold and trusting me to help bring this film to life! I could not be more grateful and proud.

It was a night of glam, celebration, and very little sleep 😅. Loved seeing old friends and enjoyed meeting a few new ones.

Til next time Hollywood 🫶🏼✨🪩 taken in Dolby Theater Hollywood by @gofordesiree

Ecstatic to share @americathefilm has been selected to screen at the Oscar qualifying @hollyshorts Film Festival. ✨
For my debut film, this means the absolute world to me.

Set in the days leading up to an unimaginable tragedy, AMERICA follows a mother’s race against time to build a better future.
But this is not just her story, it’s a reflection of the America many experience but few talk about. Through one mother’s lens, we witness the gut-wrenching fear that too many families know all too well.

Thank you to the HollyShorts programming team for believing in AMERICA.

I can’t wait to share it with Los Angeles.
See you at HollyShorts. ❤️🎬

Thrilled to announce that our narrative film AMERICA is a Top Official Selection at the 2026 Richmond International Film Festival. @riffrva ❤️🎬

AMERICA was born from a desire to explore a mother’s fight to protect her family and shine a light on the devastating impact of gun violence on children, families, and communities.

Knowing this film will now be shared with audiences at RIFF is an incredible honor.

A heartfelt thank you to the Richmond International Film Festival programming team for believing in our film, and to our extraordinary cast, crew, producers, @olivertrevena @gofordesiree @morgankei Executive Producer @vanessahudgens , our partners at @marchforourlives , and everyone who has supported this journey from the very beginning.

We can’t wait to be in Richmond September 22–27 .to champion independent filmmakers and bold storytelling and share AMERICA with festival audiences.

See you in Richmond. ❤️

@kellyarballo sent me this and (yes I know it’s AI), but how adorable is this?? It captures my Disney, Musical, Film, Pug loving heart (and proves that red may just be my color)! Now if only the award said “best director” 🌟 (working on the real one). I think another trip to Disney just may be in order 🥰. #disneyadult #disneydreams #pugmama #womeninfilmmaking #broadwaybaby by @gofordesiree

It’s been 6 months since my world as I knew it shattered. But those 6 months have been filled with love, laughter, and a never ending stream of support from friends and family, both near and far. This is just a small glimpse of the people who have shown up for me, as well as how I’ve shown up for myself. One foot in front of the other, as they say. Officially in my *healing era*. ✨✌🏼❤️‍🩹 #healingjourney #singlemama #heartbreakclub by @gofordesiree

No recap. No heavy sentiments. No lamenting or dreaming about what life may or may not have in store. Just the promise to return to self. To seek joy. To continue to be grateful for the people that continue to show up for me and for the swift exit of those that didn’t. And to head into 2026 dancing. 💜✨ #lifeisforliving #happynewyear 📸: @eric_fallecker by @gofordesiree
