The immigration agent is wondering!

A tyrant is cryogenically revived inside the body of a refugee woman — and within days, she's someone to be feared.

THE LUCKIEST WOMAN ALIVE is a world premiere dark comedy about power, identity, and how fast the powerless can rise when they have nothing left to lose. Mallory Hope starts with no army, no wealth, no name — just a tent, a sewer, and a list of people she's lost. What she builds from there is the whole show.

RimoVision Group presents the world premiere of The Luckiest Woman Alive, an original dark comedy written and directed by Ray Hanna, running September 25 through October 4, 2026, at Second Story Theatre inside the Hermosa Beach Community Center.

Set in a near future shaped by the collapse of the United States, the play follows Mallory Hope, an American refugee who arrives at a Canadian resettlement camp looking for a fresh start. Against the odds, Mallory believes she's the luckiest woman alive — and she may be right. Her fortune soon carries her into a life among the world's elite, but something has followed her: a voice in her head she knows isn't just her imagination.

The production stars Margarita Fernandez as Mallory, with Todd Martinez, Grace Li, Annie Laurie Malarkey, Martin Renteria, and Savannah Haislip rounding out the cast.

This is an intimate production — only 35 seats per performance.

When: September 25 – October 4, 2026
Fridays 8pm | Saturdays 2pm & 6pm | Sundays 2pm

Where: Second Story Theatre, Hermosa Beach Community Center, 710 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA

Tickets: $38 general admission, $99 premium table for two (includes snacks and drinks) — available via Pear.us

We're in BroadwayWorld!

Excited to share that our press release for The Luckiest Woman Alive was picked up by BroadwayWorld — an original dark comedy written and directed by our own Ray Hanna, starring Margarita Fernandez as Mallory.

For a small nonprofit theatre company, getting our announcement placed alongside major industry news is a real milestone — and a great way to help more people discover an independent, original story before it premieres.

Read the feature (link in bio), then come see it in person. Only 35 seats a night, Sept 25 – Oct 4 at Second Story Theatre. 🎟️
