We introduce you to first ever, full tour of our tiny house on wheels. Finished in 2019 by myself (Robbie) and my wife Priscilla in a 1997 Thomas International School bus. We built this skoolie to travel across the United States and Canada. It took us a year an a half to convert. We hope you enjoy our video!

NEW VAN BUILD :)

We haven’t made any posts in quite some time, so for those of you who are new here, welcome!

Here is a backstory on our journey.

As many of you already know, when we decided to travel cross-country, we had a Labrador (Baxi) and a cat (Mr. Beebles). Before we started our bus build, we were traveling every chance we had, but we hated being away from them. That’s when we decided that we needed a way to continue our travels while having them with us. Our plan was to travel the U.S and Canada in our converted school bus and later downsize to a van to continue our travels in other countries. Our last stop with the bus would have been Alaska before heading back home to begin our van build. The reason we didn’t start off with a van was because our lab was a senior and we wanted her to have the extra space. Her bed alone in the middle of a van would have taken up most of the floor space, therefore it was more convenient at the time to travel in a bigger vehicle. Sadly, she died right after we finished our bus build and didn’t make it on our journey, but since we had already built the bus, our plan remained the same; that is, until the pandemic happened.

With the Canadian border being closed and traveling being more difficult overall, we decided to head back home and take advantage of the down time to build our van…so that’s what we’ve been doing for the last 6 months. This time around, my husband documented every step of the way in our YouTube channel (link in bio) for those of you who are interested in building your own. :) As you can see, I designed the van in a similar style to the bus so it feels like a mini version of our original build.

We are now getting ready to get back on the road and continue sharing with you all of the amazing places we visit in every state.

We took this picture last week wondering if we would wake up to a snow covered Christmas this year and we definitely are! This will be our very first white Christmas and it's extra special because it's in the bus! 🤍🎄❄️🦌

This is our first Winter traveling in the bus. Last year we finished our East Coast trip of almost 10 months and we spent the Winter back home in Florida. This year we just might end up with a white Christmas. 🤍❄️🎄🦌

With cold weather sneaking up on us, we’ve used our wood burning stove the last couple of nights and we’re loving it. The only thing better than the warmth of a wood stove is fast and evenly distributed warmth of a wood stove.

Our bedroom has always been toasty when we have a fire going but we struggled with keeping the front of the bus warm when we first started traveling. This problem of ours was fixed when we came across the #Ecofan in another conversion. This heat powered Ecofan now sits on top of our stove and gets the job done! 😊 It circulates all the warmth that’s around our stove, distributing it throughout the bus. With the #Ecofan, we don’t have to wait forever for heat distribution from our fire. This will be our first Winter in the bus and we’re looking forward to those frosty nights. 🔥🧡

Rock City Gardens- Lookout Mountain, GA

This place was not only beautiful but also so much fun. Just when we thought we had seen it all, we would turn a corner and there was more to explore.

The Fairyland Caverns were a magical little surprise for us since we didn't know it was part of the park. We missed the holiday lights this year but they were getting ready for it during our visit.

If anyone is in the area starting November 20th - January 2nd, we highly recommend this park for the light show. Anytime of the year it's amazing though.

This mountain town gives you all the feels of Bavaria right in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

With quaint hotels, cobblestone walkways, wineries, artisan goodies, Alpine food and drinks, a mountain coaster and much more, this little city gives you plenty to explore.

This year it celebrates its golden anniversary! Happy 50th Helen!

Greenville, SC

Falls Park on the Reedy

This city is so beautiful. It's not often we find a city with a perfect balance between nature and buildings but Greenville pulls it off effortlessly with this oasis within the heart of its downtown.

This city is a nature lover's and a city lover's paradise in a perfect blend. Waterfalls, river, trails, gardens, restaurants, shops, cafes, pubs....that's downtown Greenville's Historic West End for you.

As if this city wasn't entertaining enough, there is such a thing here called "Mice on Main" where hidden in the downtown are 9 bronze mice for you to find starting at the NOMA Square.

We could go on and on about this city but experiencing it first hand is a must! ❤️

We have a new addition to our kitchen! This moss ball with earthy vibes has a purpose that goes beyond decorating our kitchen. This unique decorative piece is actually an automatic fire extinguisher. How awesome is that?!

Having a fire extinguisher readily available is a must when it comes to fire safety. However, traditional extinguishers need a person to operate it. The AFG Fireball by @quoradistribution goes off automatically within 2-5 seconds of coming into contact with flame and puts out the fire whether we are there or not. The ability of this extinguisher to self-activate is priceless to us considering we have a kitty that stays in the bus when we're out exploring.

In addition to keeping pets safe, the AFG Fireball can be used manually by tossing the ball into the fire. It's as simple as that! This means that if you can throw a ball, you can use it! What an easy way to teach kids about fire safety. The Fireball also has a built-in alarm that will sound when the ball bursts (non-toxic) to put out the fire.

Besides adding one to our kitchen, we've also placed a mini AFG Fireball by our battery bank and another mini one in our electrical closet.

Blue Ridge Parkway, NC

This trail is an easy hike with amazing views. We were here last year in March with views of snow-capped mountains. This year, we were determined to stay for the foliage color show. 🧡🍁🍂
