@inktober Day 4: Murky

I underestimated how long it would take to ink this drawing. I made the drawings for the following days but didn't want to post them until I finished this one. I ended up running into the same issue with Day 13.

Shoutouts to everyone who contributed to the project! It was a pure joy to work on and put together. Every session was organic and everything came together so quickly and before we all knew it; we had another completed album in the tuck.

This project is also an ode to classic Japanese tokusatsu shows from the 1970s so we really wanted to pay homage to that throughout.

Wave the weird flag high. We hope you fuck with it and enjoy it as much as we had putting it all together.

1. NEVER BE A NEXT TIME ft. JOEY GOLDEN, JONATHAN UNITEUS & ONE EYE SCOTT

2. ON THE LINE ft. JOEY GOLDEN, HOA BOSSMAN & DRO THE WHALE

This September, I'm teaching an illustration class at the Heights Library. Students will learn how to draw an anime/ comic book style animal of their choice using pencil and ink. The three day course is free. Registration is required through the event section on the @jclibrarynj website. More info below:

Learn to Illustrate an Animal - Anime Style with illustrator Chazz Jogie

Join us at The Heights for an anime / comic book style animal portrait class. Each day during the three session series, participants will build off the previous lesson while working on a single drawing of an animal portrait.

Session 1 will focus on pencil drawing. Participants will learn how to draw the portrait using basic shapes, simple details, and quick shading.

Session 2 will focus on inking. I'll introduce the class to the different pen types, and I'll give them a brief lesson on shading techniques. Afterwards, they'll begin inking their animals.

Session 3, participants will use the entire class time to finish inking their drawings, cleaning it up, and making corrections.

The presenter will be drawing along with the students and demonstrating the process from start to finish.

This program is geared towards Adults and older teens (Ages 14+) and registration is required.
