Growing up in Overtown during a different era shaped him into the community leader, trailblazer, rebel, philanthropist, and humanitarian he is today.With a passion for helping the youth through coaching, mentorship, and social emotional learning, Marion is always finding ways to pour back into the community he calls home.And when he’s not talking to Overtown’s people and businesses, Marion is a creator at heart, exploring his love for art, music, directing, fashion, and curating.Now you know the face. Safety starts with preparation!⁠⁠Join the Black Police Precinct & Courthouse Museum and the Miami-Dade Tax Collector’s Office Mobile Unit on Friday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Theodore Gibson Park to get an official Florida Identification Card for youth.⁠⁠📍 350 NW 13th Street, Miami, FL 33136⁠⁠A youth ID is an important tool for safety, identification, and preparedness. What stayed with us most after Juneteenth weekend wasn’t the events, it was what people had to say. 🧡People talked about discovering OVRTWN Corner, reconnecting with Overtown’s history, supporting Black-owned businesses, and feeling proud of their community.That’s the vision.Not just creating a place people visit, but creating a place people believe in.Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us, shared your stories, and continues to invest in Historic Overtown.
