Hey everyone! Important update regarding our Festival performances. Mario is dealing with an immigration issue that has made it impossible for him to travel to the US in time for our shows. Mario is heartbroken not to be here with us and has fought hard every step of the way to find a solution.

We’re so grateful for the incredible @luigi.paraventi of Paleface Swiss, who has stepped in on short notice.

Joe Duplantier of @gojiraofficial commanding the stage with his LTD Signature Series JD-I while opening for @metallica on the recent European leg of the M72 World Tour.

As Joe’s debut signature model with ESP, the JD-I is engineered to handle the massive power and technical precision of Gojira’s live performances. This execution features a modified XJ body shape with a 25.5” scale, joining a mahogany body to a thin U-shaped three-piece roasted maple neck. The Macassar ebony fingerboard is finished with pearloid block inlays and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets.

Built for absolute stage reliability, the hardware layout includes premium components selected for maximum tuning stability and sustain with LTD locking tuners, a Hipshot Tone-a-Matic bridge and tailpiece, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut, and Joe’s signature DiMarzio JD Fortitude passive humbucking pickup.
