SID Initiative, alongside some of its GEF Champions, participated in the Q3 2026 Adolescent and Youth Health Technical Working Group (AYH TWG) Meeting in Lagos State. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to review progress, identify gaps, and strengthen collaborative strategies for improving adolescent and youth health outcomes across the state.

Discussions focused on strengthening youth-friendly health services, improving access to quality healthcare, using data to inform decision-making, and addressing gaps that affect young people’s ability to access the services and information they need. Stakeholders also discussed preparations for the upcoming International Adolescent Health Week and opportunities to further amplify adolescent and youth health priorities.

The participation of the GEF Champions was made possible through the Gender Equality Fund (GEF) Project, with support from Y+ Global, creating space for young women to actively engage in conversations that shape policies, programmes, and services affecting their health and wellbeing. We remain committed to ensuring that young people are not just spoken for, but are meaningfully included in the conversations and decisions that affect them.
