Venus was recently Trine my natal Venus a few days ago (back when Venus was in Leo) and I had this mini excursion.

Now, Venus is in Virgo, where traditionally it is referred to as its “fall.” However, I never use such terms when I see clients because we as human beings are not mundane snapshot charts. Namely, human beings grow and learn from life experiences and we get better at this whole thing.

In fact, I have found that after seeing many clients, people with planets in “fall” or “detriment” actually end up utilizing the planet’s function in more harmonious ways than those natives who have their planets dignified at birth.

This is due to the fact that people with planets in “fall” or “detriment” are put in tougher life experiences that allow them to develop nuance in how to utilize a particular planet’s function. Natives with dignified planets are not usually put into those extreme circumstances, so they naturally take some things for granted, and, because of this, as they get older, they are not as equipped as the former in tackling certain life circumstances.

Venus in Virgo offers an analytic mind, even in affairs of the heart. When emotions are involved, people often do not think clearly. While even Venus in Virgo is not immune to falling into that trap—they are def more skilled at avoiding it than are most people. Once committed, they are capable of working on themselves and working on the relationship, fashioning it into something which both them and their partner treasure.

Above all, Venus in Virgo benefits from the company of friends and partners. Work and routine have soothing effects upon them. So does the practice of any craft, from astrology to bead work. It calms them to do things with their hands. Pleasurable concentration distracts them from worry and relieves tension.

Venus stations retrograde in the intense sign of Scorpio on October 3, 2026 and will go through a “double descent” into the underworld.

Venus retrograde is not only a period for reviewing relationships or finances.

Its deeper symbolism is a complete
cycle:
1. Disappearance: withdraw from familiar patterns.
2. Purification: release what is outdated or inauthentic.
3. Rebirth: identify new desires, values, and intentions.
4. Re-emergence: begin expressing those renewed priorities with greater independence and clarity.

Venus retrograde begins around October 2–3, stationing retrograde near 8° Scorpio.
It ends around November 12–13, when Venus stations direct near 22° Libra.
The full retrograde lasts approximately six weeks and takes place partly in Scorpio and partly in Libra.
The most significant inner phase occurs while Venus is invisible, approximately from October 14 to
November 2:
October 14: Venus makes its evening set and disappears from the evening sky.
October 23: Venus conjoins the Sun at 0° Scorpio.
November 2: Venus makes its morning rise and becomes visible before sunrise.

I also go over what to focus on during the different parts of this Venus retrograde.

In this video, I go over what to expect in this year’s Libra season, which includes the ruler of Libra, Venus, going retrograde in the intense sign of Scorpio and facing intense squares from Pluto and Mars and 3 oppositions to Chiron when it retrogrades back to its home Libra. There’s also 3 planets currently in the opposite sign of Aries, which exacerbates the tension between personal needs and relationships.

The Sun is in Libra until October 23rd, and is a time we focus more on balancing our personal environments and relationships. It’s a time for considering alternatives and others’ needs, agendas, and desires. Meeting people halfway, compromising, and negotiating come under the rule of Libra. Decision-making can be more challenging while the Sun is in Libra-we weigh both sides of any situation, and sometimes this process goes on too long! In Libra, the Sun doesn’t want to rock the boat or rub people the wrong way. Tactfulness, style, tolerance, and sociability are key themes. On the shadow side, Libra can be indecisive, passive-aggressive, or superficial when challenged.

On the morning of the 31st (Eastern USA), the Full Moon occurs as the Sun in Gemini opposes the Moon in Sagittarius. A time of culmination, the Full Moon promises to fulfill what we started at the New Moon. It’s an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

During this Full Moon, we have the opportunity to become more fully aware of what has been lacking or missing in our lives. This is a time for personal growth, particularly in terms of learning, adventure, spirited living, communicating, sharing, and commuting.

The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius represents the “higher mind.” The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit and think more broadly. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now.” Gemini is comfortable in its immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stirs us to venture beyond it.

It’s important to remember that neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. However, the Full Moon invites us to find a balance between the two energies, guiding us towards a harmonious state.

This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and a sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now is when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings–we need to express them.

The lunation illuminates this conflict between logic and intuition/faith. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems.

Of course, we should exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is fresh, unrefined, and not particularly rational as yet.
