The Storys ✨🐭🎇

We’ve had our heads down chugging through editing this Spring’s wedding films and I realized I never posted this trailer! Such a fun day! We love exploring new venues at Walt Disney World and getting to shoot in the Great Hall of China was another dream to check off our Fairytale Wedding bucket list!

Slowly collecting the infinity stones of Disney Cruise Line weddings and last week I got to add the Disney Destiny to our gauntlet. 🤭🚢💎

The only two ships we have yet to capture are the Disney Wonder and Disney Adventure! We’ll be on the Wonder next March so stay tuned for that one!

To you this is just a standard family portrait… To me, this photo means so much more. It’s the last portrait they’ll share as a family of three before their baby girl becomes a wife and adds one more making them a family of four.

Moments like this didn’t quite hit me as hard as they do since becoming a mom myself. This isn’t the kind of photo that will get shared in magazines or on big accounts, it’s not the type of photo that will make a potential client stop and want me as their photographer, but it’s the kind of photo that matters to the couples and families I serve. You can trust that when I photograph your wedding I’m not thinking about my next client or the wedding vendors that’ll want to use your precious memories as marketing collateral. My priority is you, your loved ones, the memories you share, and intentionally considering the sentiment behind each precious photograph — candid, posed and everything in-between.

And to top it all off, I have to include the photo at the end of this sweet dad who, even on her busy wedding morning, just HAD to take a pause so she could try a bite of the best Chicken Parmesan he’s ever had at Palo. 🤭 Idk about you but that’s love to me!

One of my favorite parts of a wedding ceremony is the Blessing of the Hands. 🫶 I’d never heard it before we started filming weddings but now I’ve heard it countless times and can’t edit a photo of my couples’ hands without thinking about it.

🌞 Some officiants recite it a little differently but if you’ve got no clue what I’m talking about, here it is:

“These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will tenderly hold
your children.

These are the hands that will help you to
hold your family as one.

These are the hands that will give you
strength when you need it.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.”
