With the AMVCAs around the corner, I found myself reflecting on the Osamede journey so I pulled together a few BTS moments and how far we've come. ✨ On a more personal note, this project has been both a calling and a craft and I often describe my move from finance into film not merely as a pivot, but as a transposition.Because at its core, making a film holds both worlds - it is deeply creative, yet grounded in structure.And this journey has only reinforced that for me. First, an idea and a vision that's clear enough to inspire and structured enough to be funded. Then…Story workshops.Location scouting.Casting.Intense production days.External shocks (phew!!) Constant navigating.Fostering harmonyEndless refinement...Publicity. In another context, we’d call these strategy sessions, due diligence, hiring, risk management, route to market…Different language but the same discipline. Filmmaking is business! Demanding, complex, real business. 💯 and deserves to be treated as a true asset class.I'm deeply grateful for my co EPs, James the genius, the Osamede team, Nile Entertainment, Carpe Diem, the journey so far and for what lies ahead.
