In the summer of ‘24, I drove six hours down to LA from the Bay Area to work on this special short. It was my first project in LA— just half a year after I graduated and so to see the journey this film has went on has been wild. We spent days building this world in the moose lodge and lit probably over a hundred prop cigarettes, wrote on at least three hundred dollar bills and were lucky enough to have a full cast of amazing singers that serenaded us throughout the days. The dollar bills have a special room in my heart because we wrote our names, the names of every single person on the call sheet and the names of our friends and loved ones so we all have a little spot in the film.

Thank you to my amazing production designer @ottermaterpoeia for being the best mentor and guiding me through everything. I’m so happy I found a lifelong friend and mentor through this. 🫶🏼

To all the girlies in the art department! My besties who were always ready with lighters on hand and the creative brains that built the world of the singers! Love y’all forever!! @breeingemi @aurkiid_haus @tenmonteverde @sarakaylx @ceceish @aikersss @vidhishaaaaaa @heatherwildside

The bonus art dept boys who helped me when I couldn’t reach things (hehe) and helped light prop cigs and write on dollar bills! @dante_lundin_ @jo3nixon @bflogeras

Special shoutout especially to @brianna.b.murphy @brynckelly @cheyennesbeverley for taking extra care of me hehe love y’all 🫶🏼

@samdavis @davidbreschel @jack_piatt_ Congratulations on the win and thank you for all your trust in me!
