no matter the score, it’s always a good time ⛳️

This covers the last 3 holes of the back 9 at Cresta Verde Golf Course! I was on a great streak the last couple holes right before filming (including a birdie 🐤 2 holes ago)

(don’t ask me about the first couple of holes though lmao😔)

Filming and playing these holes wasn’t my best work, but it was a great time regardless!

Still need to get a full picture of where I’m at in terms of my skills and mental as I play and practice more. Course management and short game need work for sure, but right now… the vibes are carrying me through in the meantime 🙂

watch me ace this hole on a hill 😉 (not)

Score is disappointing here 😅 but wanted to highlight this signature hole at Cresta Verde Golf Course because I’m a sucker for cliffside-based par 3s lol

Super nice course with some great elevation ⛳️🏌️ wish I caught video of the earlier holes because I went on a par-par-birdie-par-par streak but it’s all good lmao it is what it is

yeah, the swing isn’t perfect, but cmon…

i’m just happy to make any decent contact at all 🥹 lmao

coming back to the game after a series of long hiatuses, I’m excited to be at the range again with a fresh perspective on everything ahaha

in this session, I’m thinking about that swing plane, through and through. I’m not overthinking things, just deliberately holding my takeaway and ensuring a full follow through. I’m visualizing my positioning with a certain glass pane and swinging like I’m not going to break it.

on second thought, maybe I am overthinking lmao 😉

enjoy these samples, and see you @ the next one ⛳️🏌️

range notes:
- half swing may not be true half swing oop it’s just my feel though
- trying to finish through more and a hold a photo finish pose rather than just stop immediately after impact
- still need to review my full stock yardages with these dusty clubs lol it would be interesting to see the comparison of now vs. 12 years ago
- that @chrislake LA Historic Park set just keeps me going I swear lol

1st time playing in 12 years… how did I do? 🙃

Literally and figuratively, this round was full of ups and downs at my childhood course @hwy41golfcenter

Nonetheless, I’m okay with the +6 score since it’s been over a decade playing any course lol. Besides, reconnecting with the game like this after these long, long hiatuses has been healing for me 😌

The swing needs improvement, but I’m surprised I still got a semblance of a swing with these old clubs lmao. But fsho, the short game and mental notes need a complete refresh. In due time…

anyway, onto the next hole ⛳️🏌️

can I close out 9 holes safely? 🤔 let’s see…

This is the final part (Holes 7-9) of playing the par-3, 9-hole course at Highway 41 Golf Center (aka Valley Golf Center at the time of recording this aka Riverpark Golf Center back when I was a kid 😅)

This is my first time hitting my clubs in 4 years and 12 years since playing an actual course lolol how did I do???

There’s a lot to take away from this experience! Seems like nearly every scenario and shot type and mistake came up this round. An oddly diverse round I’d say 😅

My swing and course management needs improvement, but the end of the day tho, vibes were high and I got to golf? That’s all one can really ask for 🙃

s/o to @jayzo.tattoos / @jxzxph / @lineweaverbeaver for welcoming me into their group for the final hole! You guys were great company to play with 🫡

til next time ⛳️🏌️

my best run of golf yet? not exactly...

This is Part 2 (Holes 4-6) of playing the par-3, 9-hole course at Highway 41 Golf Center (aka Valley Golf Center at the time of recording this aka Riverpark Golf Center back when I was a kid 😅)

This is my first time hitting my clubs in 4 years and 12 years since playing an actual course lolol how am I doing so far???

This was a brutal run fsho, but everyone has those days.
For me, this was a matter of being rusty / not knowing my distances / and mental trickery. Will I survive the last 3 holes? Only time will tell...

…and I’m back! Any guesses on the score? 🤔

A lot has happened in the last 4 years since my first and only post, but the greens have called for my return 📞⛳️

This series of videos covers my round at the Par 3 course @hwy41golfcenter ! This place is formerly known as Valley Golf Center when this video took place, but I remember this place as Riverpark Golf Center growing up long ago… time has passed for sure lol

It’s been 4 years since swinging a golf club, and 12 years since playing an actual course 😅 course management will be rusty, but let’s hope I do well here?

Resurrecting this hobby account with hopes to play and post a little more 🫡 so let me do this one last time…

welcome to golfkark ⛳️

welcome friends to this hobby acc! 🤠

The goal for this acc is to simply document and share with y’all my swing & golf game progress as I’m slowly getting comfy again with this game lol. so thnx for coming along 👌

Sample of shots from a chill range session earlier this month. using my old high school clubs from 8 years ago, and I am surprised to still be hitting well… but the yardage distance has def taken a hit since these clubs aged.

Expect more posts as I hit the range (and maybe courses?!?) more ⛳️ playing is def a stress reliever at the end of the day.

a lil backstory: I used to play competitively back in high school for a few years and ended up despising the game lol. However, in recent years, after some visits to Top Golf with friends, I was surprised with how much I missed driving those bombs lmaoo. And now in 2022, 8 years after I ended my relationship with the game, I’m now back on the train and wanna document and share my swing progress with y’all 😘 by @golfkark
