Tonight, I will play an extended set at a private event - for the first time since my Dad’s departure from Earth. I know it will feel different.

My beloved Dad, Yassi, passed the DNA and gift of sound and music to my brother and me. 🎼 ✨His musical lineage traces back to legendary Persian classical musicians in the Neydavoud family — my grandmother’s side — a musical force woven through our blood and impossible to ignore.

I'm curious to step into the role of generating joy on the one hand - while carrying grief in the other. I believe that true Artistry shines when we dig deeper than our own lives and show up in service to others. This is where the magic happens and where music becomes medicine. ✨🎶

I’m hoping that Dad will move through me tonight — through the melodies and rythyms he taught me to embrace. ✨🤍

Beatport @beatport surprised me last week with: "Congratulations!! 🎉– after listening to hundreds of DJ sets, we selected you to DJ at Beatport’s Residency at Marquee Dayclub."✨

And just like that, I found myself in Vegas, for 24-hours.

I stepped away from parenting, family life, and routine, tucked myself into my hotel room, and spent hours fine-tuning the flow and energy of my set. 🎶 In my signature storytelling style, I wanted to take the audience on a layered and rich musical journey.

I had a blast playing at the Marquee Dayclub before Ukrainian techno star @djmissmonique and meeting many wonderful people along the way.

Thank you to the Beatport and TAO team @marqueelv for your hospitality, warmth, and kindness.

Thank you friends for being part of this music journey with me the past two years. ♥️

A Message for Earth.𓂃Watch until the end.

We have been given this gem 💎 — this extraordinary gift of a planet, filled with biodiversity and beauty beyond measure.

Beauty worth protecting.🌿
And yet, there is a war on nature — on the very fabric of life itself. Our public lands are being sold off for profit. “Development” (ie. destruction) is rampant. Precious habitats are being bulldozed. Animals are being killed.❤️‍🩹

Imagine instead if we each lived with reverence, love, stewardship, and compassion — for one another, for animals, and for the Earth. We would literally create heaven on Earth. 🪽🦋🌸🌷🌻✨💕🐠🐘🦜🦘🦓💙🌿

I have felt this deeply for 40 years. Let's join together in unity and stand up for nature — before it’s too late.

You are not separate from nature. 🌿

Right now, bulldozers are plowing through Big Bend National Park. Developers are trying to carve private roads into Yosemite National Park. 90% of Utah’s public lands are being opened to unprecedented development. The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge has been auctioned off in pieces. Wild horses are being rounded up and sold for cheap meat. The Amazon is being mined for gold. And rivers of plastic continue to flow through our oceans and waterways.❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

I believe this level of destruction is a reflection of an internal crisis of the human spirit. It reveals the profound illusion that we are separate from the natural world.

The same elements that move through the stars, 🌌⭐️the mountains, rivers, forests and oceans move through us. We are here for a brief temporary period of time, woven into something infinitely larger than ourselves.🪐

What if, instead of leading with plunder, greed, domination and destruction, we led with reverence, awe, compassion and stewardship?🌿

Experiencing our connection to ourselves helps us remember our connection to the Earth. For 26 years, this has been at the heart of my work.

I’ve taught people to come home to themselves — to experience the body not as something separate from the natural world around us, but as an inseparable part of it.

We are not separate. We are nature. And the Earth was never ours to own. We belong to the Earth. 🌿🙏🏼

This is what makes me happy. 🌿✨

We've been given a gift of a planet 💎— gorgeous biodiversity, beauty beyond measure. Beauty worth protecting.
And right now so much of it is under threat. Public lands sold off. Rapid urbanization. Deforestation. Wild horses 🐴are being rounded up and eradicated by the thousands.❤️‍🩹

The environmental crisis we're witnessing is, to me, a reflection of an internal one — an illusion that we are separate from eachother, from nature, from the Universe. 🪐

You protect what you feel connected to. So I made a guided meditation to bring us back to that remembrance — of interconnectedness to all of life, of belonging and mostly importantly peace. It's in my bio if you'd like it. 🌿

Today’s my birthday — a day that always makes me reflect on where I’ve been and where I’m going. And with so many new faces here, it felt like a good time to share a little of my story. ❤️

For 26 years, I've built a career in yoga therapy, mind-body & nervous system health and environmental consulting — work that taught me that our inner landscape is deeply connected to the wellbeing of the natural world. 
I had the honor of giving keynote talks 🎤at over 40+ Universities across the country, speaking to the next generation about: wellbeing, stress/anxiety relief, and our responsibility to care for the world. 
More recently, I've been focused on expressing my Dad's legacy (he was a young musical protégé) through my lifelong love of electronic music.🎧🎶
 And of course, the most important role of all: being a devoted mom to my teenagers.  
If there's one thing I wish more people could truly feel and leave them with, it's this:  We are all connected. To each other. To nature. And to a peace and connection to something larger than ourselves.🧘✨🪐 We just have to cultivate this knowing and connection.
 So this next year, I'm going all in — leaning further into music, continuing to inspire stewardship of the natural world, 🌿 and contributing more of what 26 years in the field has taught me about mental wellbeing, nervous-system health, to help you attain the power of peace. Because in a world that is only getting faster and louder, these tools are needed more than ever.

I found this photo from a decade ago, and as my birthday approaches in August, it stirred up more than I expected.

Since my 30s, my life has been deeply devoted to raising my two children, primarily on my own.   I put my own dreams on the shelf more times than I can count.  
And I wouldn't change prioritizing my children for anything.

But if you'd told me 10 years ago that I'd spend my weeknights now in Pioneer headphones, meticulously crafting melodic house sets, pushing my artistry and refining my technical skills daily, prepping for curated and elevated events including an upcoming festival style Burning Man wedding, building something new entirely on my own — I wouldn't have believed you.

Making music belonged to my Dad, Yassi, and my brother, Saam. Not to me — or so I thought. 
And though I've been quiet here, I didn’t disappear. I was quietly crafting. Creating. New music. New experiences. All for you....coming soon!  
Maybe aging isn't about becoming less of who you were. But about becoming more of who you were always meant to be. ✨
