Different streets. Different languages. Different traditions.

Same heartbeat.

I’ve been coming to Taiwan since 2015 to share my artwork and hopefully grow as an artist. What I didn’t expect was how much this place would shape me in return.

Every visit has taught me something—not just about Taiwan, but about listening. About observing before speaking. About understanding that cultural exchange isn’t just sharing what you bring; it’s being open enough to receive what others are offering.

Our differences aren’t barriers—they’re opportunities. Every culture carries something worth learning from.

Thank you to Taiwan for welcoming me, inspiring me, and reminding me that the best art—and maybe the best version of ourselves—is created through connection.

Bring your best. Share it. Respect what others bring. Leave with more than you arrived with.

That’s the exchange taken in Taipei, Taiwan by @gonzo247

Thank you @houstonlifetv and photojournalist @lennyjuareztv for the spotlight on how growing up in Houston inspired me to be an artist and how my surroundings continue to fuel this dark brown, sun burnt, ladder-climbing, mural-making Mexican-American today. 🤎 link in bio taken in GONZO247 by @gonzo247

Today at the @swampfilm and @cinemasocietyhtx Houston Media Conference (HMC) was a day of inspiration. 🎤 We had the opportunity to meet @wittelstephanie founder of @lemonadamedia during her morning session, and then got to hear from her again in the afternoon. Picked up a copy of her new book, Last Day, and had it signed. 📖 Nothing but a special day stir-fry of stories, realness, and creativity. ❤️ Houston + Houston + Houston 🫶🏽 taken in Houston, Texas by @gonzo247
