LAST DAY: VISUALS

I initially wanted to do a super close zoom on my face , stylized in a fallen angels manner. I didnt know how doable tht was gonna be, but with the title of the project I knew the main visual point was to be my face. Alot of these takes came out as some odd portraits but the one that was used was actually a take where I started laughing cuz I couldn’t keep on making weird faces
Shout out to @rivera.onbrand for being the creative lead and guiding me towards some ideas tht lead to an amazing outcome. Got a video in the works directed by the man and I’m rlly stoked for yall to see

DAY ??- Tracklist

SP1! was the first song I started writing to on this project. I wanted an old school feel on it, with a throwback to the old funk records I dug thru to sample this. Was listening to an Mick Jenkins song then it clicked. Shout out the FUNK

DAY2- PROCESS
Most of these songs were written in the span of 6 months. I’m not sure what to call it an ep/project/album?
This one I’m having fun flowing and rap shit that’s outta the comfort zone with some swagger
I carry my notebook/phone notes around everywhere until Its finished, tinkering with it until I have most of the song done usually in abt 30mins —sometimes I’ll freestyle the first bits of track
I’ve been doing this for a minute now it’s crazy

DAY1- BTS
Big shoutout to Adam for being easy to work with and mixing the hell outta this thing. I’ve always prided myself on being able to do all parts of the music process, but there is always a little bit that gets taken away from the art when I’m focusing on all the other things. Being able to record, hear the engineer talk to me about takes/delivery while still at the mic and then going into the studio for the mixdown was a new experience but one that elevated this project

Thank you LA! Inspiration is flowing again after a period of stagnation. Had a great time enjoying the weather and linking with the @burgersnbeatsla community. Thank yall for giving me an opportunity to get these flows off. Infinitely grateful to hiphop for allowing me to touch the coast again and link up with other artists on their journeys
