When the hard work, consistency and discipline pay off. Nalah’s first time getting double gold with 4 out of 5 matches ending in submission It’s a great thing to see when it all starts to connect. What a gift it is to be a part of someone’s journey. The good, the bad, the fun, the challenges, the frustrations and the endless smiles that come with stepping out of your comfort zone, the place where “change” lives. I’ll never get used to watching people’s face light up when they received their promotions. To the outside eye, it may seem minuscule. But to us, it’s physical proof that our hard work is being recognized and our growth is obvious. As always, I am proud of my students. Congratulations Daniel, Dorian, Indi, and Tristin on their stripe promotions. Ya’ll some tough ass white belts To our boy Mark, congrats on your milestone of earning your blue belt. You are just as bad ass of a human being off the mat as you are on the mats. A blessing to our team which are grateful for 🤜🏼🖤🤛🏼 by @goochtrainingacademy

Our children are only as good as our example. They hear our words, but they follow our example more than our advice. Discipline isn’t something children are born with, it’s something taught and development over years of daily deposits. Daily deposits of taking action and putting it work. Rain or Shine, Happy or Sad. We show up and Pay Our Dues When Nalah was born 10 years ago, I made it a promise to myself that I would give Nalah my all as a father. That meant I had to continuously strive to be a better person than I was yesterday. As long as I tried my best each day, I could go to bed peacefully. Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually. Lead and Be the Example ✔️ Once I started seeing slight benefits and improvement in my quality of life, it became a repetitive habit to strive for. Although Nalah was raised in this life style, it’s habit that needs to be built, challenged and grown. The past few months we’ve been focusing on extra credit. Simple and easy way to get ahead. Running has always been that way for me. Not only physically but mentally. It’s where most of my manifesting & mindset training is done. I love it. Nalah is indecisive on it, but she suits up and does it anyways, cause that’s the girl I’ve helped build in the past 10 years. What went from twice a week a few months ago has now become an every day thing on my weeks. Not only is she somewhat starting to show excitement for it, she is starting to see the growth in her speed and time. Best thing about it and something she said from the very beginning: “Thank you Dad for pushing me today on our running today. I had a lot fun doing that with you” Winning. 🏆 🖤 by @goochtrainingacademy
The Big Homie Chad earned his blue belt!! We couldn’t be more stoked to award this man his blue belt. For years he has been grinding away in the striking game. Accomplishing goals left and right there. Watched this man enhance and upgrade his life on and off the mat. physically and personally. All while his kids were grinding away in Jiu Jitsu. Then he made the decision to grind away at JiuJitsu, like his children. He did both, back to back. On a full work schedule that requires significant travel. While balancing out a marriage and two children. In his 40’s. Makes it look easy as S#*T too. Like the G he is. @frostedking46 - like I said today, you earned this every step of the way. Day by Day, Rep by Rep, and Brick by Brick. You are a stud of a man, father, husband, and now a Jiu Jitsu BLUE BELT! And any one that trains, from all countries around the world, know and respect exactly the amount of work it takes to accomplish this. Game recognizes Game 🫡💯 Congratulations my boy! 🤜🏼🖤🤛🏼 by @goochtrainingacademy
