Amman, Jordan.
First pic is of replicas of world's oldest large statues, found in Neolithic sites in Amman, human habitation from over 7,000 years ago. The city is mentioned multiple times in the Bible, and was for almost a millenia named Philadelphia: waves of conquest and cultural fusion form the bedrock, Greek, Egyptian, Roman, Seleucid, and on, ancient roots buried as city faded into nonexistence, ruins, until resettled by refugees in the late 19th century, further waves and compounding success turned ruins into a city of millions, Jordan's capital and a massive sprawI I was quite charmed by, as I failed to go to Palestine, and spent a few days. Would be back to fail again, or just enjoy a great city.

With Crawford's temporary closure, the National Gallery is Ireland's greatest museum*, with much representation among Europe's greatest artists, personal favourites like Caravaggio, Turner or Bosch (albeit a contemporary copy of a lost work) fantastic symbolists and impressionists, Rothko is, as often said, impossible to photo for temporal presentation.

*Whereas when open Crawford definitely world's best, and likely the universe. by @good.tomtom
