✨ Time to (re)introduce ourselves!

Hi, I’m Chrissy— co-owner of Good Day Bend ☀️
What started as a way to highlight the best of Bend has grown into something so much bigger— a community that celebrates local stories, businesses, and experiences that make this place so special.

One of my favorite Bend memories? Spring on the Cascade Lakes Highway— starting the morning snowboarding at Mt Bachelor, then driving down to the lakes and paddleboarding in the same day. Only in Bend can you do winter and summer back-to-back 🤩

As we get ready to launch our new website, we’re updating our “About Us” page— but instead of writing our own bios, we want you to help us.

✨ Time to (re)introduce ourselves!

Hey everyone, I’m Aaron— co-owner of Good Day Bend 👋
From day one, our goal has been to connect people to all the amazing things happening in and around Bend— the businesses, the makers, and the moments that make this community shine.

A little about me? I grew up camping with my family at Cape Kiwanda, hiking to Silver Creek Falls, and enjoying a lot of local gatherings like Turkey Rama in McMinnville. Those trips are some of my favorite Oregon memories and a big part of why I love exploring and sharing the PNW.

With our new website launching soon, we’re working on our “About Us” page— but instead of writing our own intros, we want to hear from the people who know us best.

💙 We had the best morning at @mtbachelor! Little Rollers was such a fun, unique event for kids. The music, activities, and thoughtful little touches made it feel like so much more than just a bike race.

Younger riders took on a custom Strider bike course, while older kids raced on two-wheel bikes and even got to ride the Little Pine lift for a more advanced experience (Bike Park lift ticket required for older riders).

The fun didn’t stop after the race! Every registered rider received a custom Mt. Bachelor YETI water bottle, kids got to decorate their own bike helmets to take home, and the team from @discover.nw was there with Forest Rangers, coloring books, and hands-on activities for families to enjoy.

My favorite part? Watching my daughter proudly wear her decorated helmet all the way home. 🥹❤️

🚲 Did you know @mtbachelor has a FREE bike series just for kids?

Little Rollers is a fun new event for kids ages 3-9 and a great excuse to spend a summer day on the mountain.

✨ Two age groups:
• Younger riders use Strider bikes on a custom Strider course
• Older riders race on two-wheel bikes and ride the lift

The first event is happening this Sunday, but don’t worry if you can’t make it—there are additional dates throughout the summer on July 26, August 16, and August 23.

🎉 The event is FREE, and registered riders will receive a custom YETI water bottle while supplies last.

Please note: riders in the older bike category will need a Bike Park lift ticket.

We love seeing Mt. Bachelor create opportunities for families to get outside and enjoy the mountain together. 💙

And yes, we’ll be there too! I’m bringing my girls to the first event this Sunday and can’t wait to check it out.

💙 Sidewalk Joy

A flat tire doesn’t have to ruin your ride. 🚲🔧

Tucked into a Bend neighborhood near the west side of town is this free community bike repair station, complete with tools, a repair stand, and an air pump. Whether you need to top off your tires, tighten something up, or fix a flat, it’s here for anyone to use.

We love finding little things like this that quietly make our community better.

This spot is part of the @sidewalkjoy project by @pdxdinorama , which highlights the small acts of kindness, creativity, and community that bring a little extra joy to everyday life. 💙
