You can now elope in Marfa, TX with us.💫 A note from Jacq— I owe a lot of the photographer and honestly, the person I am today to West Texas. The desert taught me my best lessons and made me who I am! When I photographed my first elopement in Marfa, the couple traveled from NYC to the middle of the Texas desert to get married. I didn’t understand why they would choose the desert over the city! I completely understand now. My favorite things about marfa are the slow mornings at the only coffee shop in town @doyourthinghq , breakfast burritos @marfa.burritos, wandering through the pottery at @thesentinelmarfa, seeing beautiful art everywhere! Smokey Mezcal margs @marfasaintgeorge. Driving out to Prada Marfa where it’s literally an art sculpture in the desert. Buying an iconic hat at the shop in town. Catching the sunset in the desert. I can go on and on! The kind of place that reminds you slowing down is actually the best. Since becoming the new owners of Promise Mountain, we have dreamed and talked a lot about what we wanted the brand to be. We eloped at a courthouse, just us two. We were so ready to start our lives together! We love being nostalgic, and we have often found ourselves saying “those were the good ole days” when we reflect on our story. Then one day Triston said in the car “we’re in the good days right now.” Ever since then, it stuck. We love reflecting on the “good days” but also love being present in the fact that here right now are the good days too. Good days will be an elopement brand, and will have the same heart as Promise Mountain, with a different twist. Good Days is for couples who truly just can’t wait to be married. Our brand will be full of nostalgia, love, commitment, being adventurous, being sentimental and timelessness!
