STEAL MY CHICAGO ITINERARY 👇🏾

Chicago needs to be on your must visit list! It’s one of my favorite cities to explore and eat in because the food is soo good! I probably came back 10lbs heavier lol. Save this itinerary for your next trip to Chicago, especially if you’re a foodie 👏🏾.

I stayed at the @arlohotels Arlo Hotel Chicago. Clean, super cozy plus I had a nice view of Millennium Park where I could see the Bean shinning. Also a good location for exploring.

I finally got my hands on some Filipino Ilocos Empanadas 🇵🇭🥟! The size is insane, it’s literally the size of my head lol. It’s filled with Longanisa, Green papaya, Onion, Garlic, Egg + Rice flour. Each order comes with a side of their housemade (slightly spicy) vinegar for dipping.

This is my first time having a locals empanadas and I’m rocking with them. I’m a big fan of shredded papaya (especially a papaya salad!!) so this combination was a go for me. This might be one of Brooklyn’s most underrated fine dining experiences, and I can’t believe this place has been hiding in plain sight.

Tucked inside @worldspanyc, @renrestaurantny is an elevated kosher fine dining restaurant that’s worth visiting. It is OU-certified and serves an innovative, dairy-free, multi-course tasting menu. I tried their 10-course Summer Tasting Menu and every course somehow outdid the last.

📍REN / 1571 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NYC (inside of World Spa)

@chef.ronen has created a menu that blends European and Asian influences with incredibly creative techniques, proving elevated kosher cuisine doesn’t have to compromise on flavor or presentation. He is classically trained both in French and Italian cuisine and prides himself on creating a culinary experience and creating dishes seasonally where the menu continuously rotates.

My favorites were the bluefin toro, yellowtail, prime ribeye, and the dry-aged Long Island duck, but honestly, there wasn’t a single miss.

FiDi officially has a new happy hour spot worth knowing about 🍸☁️✨

If you’re looking for a spot that feels elevated without the rooftop crowds, add Cloud One Wine Bar & Lounge to your list. Technically not a “Rooftop” but it’s located on the 6th floor inside of The Cloud One Hotel @thecloudonehotels, overlooking the Freedom Tower with floor to ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace that’s perfect for golden hour.

The wine program was curated by award-winning sommelier Mark Guillaudeu (of Eleven Madison Park), featuring sustainably produced wines from New York, California, and Oregon. They also have great speciality cocktails! A retired FDNY fireboat has officially been transformed into one of the most unique bars in NYC!

📍Fireboat | Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 6 | New York City

Originally built to serve the FDNY, Fireboat is now docked at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6, serving Caribbean inspired bites, frozen drinks + cocktails poured through the boat’s original fire hose system. This is the perfect way to take in the skyline views and watch the boats cruise by.

I grabbed a Watermelon Limonada Mocktail and it was so well made so I imagine the cocktails would be great! We grabbed some bites and the food was reasonable priced and good!! We tried the BBQ Prawn Skewers, French Fries and Watermelon Wedges, all of which we enjoyed. I think It’s definitely worth it to order a bite or two.

As the President of the Pancake Committee these are some of my favorite pancakes in NYC! 🥞✨

If you’ve been wanting to try Golden Diner’s famous honey butter pancakes but don’t want to wait in a 2 hour line, Golden HOF is the move. Their sister restaurant near Rockefeller Center serves a mini version of the Honey Butter Pancakes ($16) on the dessert menu. NEW Flavor Drop 🍦🍫!!!!!

@bettyjos_icecream is a small batch Ice Cream company founded by two friends. They drops a new flavor each month for local pickup in New York City. Each flavor is inspired by a pastry. So in the past they’ve created flavors like Peach Pie, Coconut Key Lime Pie, Carrot Cake (sad I missed this one 😭) + more!

BIG fan of their latest flavor, the Flourless Chocolate Cake pint. Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream loaded with fudgy flourless chocolate cake and ribbons of tart raspberry swirl. So good! The raspberry keeps it bright and the chocolate is intensely rich. I really love how it’s Chocolate cake throughout the entire pint so you can get even pints all the way at the bottom. The Chocolate Ice cream reminded me of a chocolate brownie!

Round two at Sirrah, but this time I came back for brunch! 🥂✨

@sirrahnewyork is a modern French steakhouse in NYC’s Meatpacking District. For $68 per person, the weekend prix fixe brunch includes fresh pastries for the table, your choice of a main, UNLIMITED FRIES, dessert + a glass of champagne to complete the experience.

A staycation has become one of my favorite forms of self care!

I checked into Kimpton Era Midtown and it reminded me why I love a good NYC staycation. Which just opened this past March and somehow they already have hospitality down to a science. From the complimentary reusable water bottle (with refill stations on every floor) to the beautifully designed king room that gave me one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time.

One of my favorite things about this hotel is that you never have to leave. There are four incredible dining concepts all under one roof:
🍷 The Parlor: Complimentary Kimpton Social Hour with wine during social hour
🥩 @amasa_ny / Amasa: Their pan-Latin steakhouse and one of the few Latin steakhouses in NYC. Don’t leave without ordering the chicken empanadas + Peruvian chicken.
🌇 @jaderabbit_ny / Jade Rabbit: A rooftop perfect for cocktails with views.
🍳 @barrocco_ny / Bar Rocco: An Italian American restaurant serving breakfast, lunch + dinner. I stopped in before checkout, and it was the perfect way to wrap up my stay.
