My debut record ‘Cute’ is out in the world!
What started out as an idea for a one-off little silly ep has turned into the biggest project of my musical life. Who knew that writing, recording, funding and releasing a record solo and organizing a live band would be so much work..

Although I did most of the work alone in my tiny studio room, I did have crucial help from amazingly talented friends in my life:
All acoustic drums recorded and performed by @tendersender_
Strings on When Will I Garden arranged, performed and recorded by @sachis__mirror
Upright bass on When Will I Garden performed by @autumnplaysbass
Sweet Little Things co-written with @adamchillson
Falling accordion arranged, recorded and performed by the late and great Rob Reich - never got to meet him in person, but am honored beyond belief that he was willing to play on my song. Rest in peace Rob
Cover photoshoot by @lilli.plant and @scam.jones
Mixed by @jasonkick
Master by Justin Weiss
And of course thank you to @torileonhardt for bringing Lexy dog in for the cover shoot 🐶

Huge thanks to all the friends who attended my record release show and who have taken the time to listen to my songs. Makes all this work feel worth it ❤️

I have another record ready to record soon. Excited to share more, but in the meantime - enjoy ‘Cute’!

This MONDAY tune in to The Complex at 7pm to find out WHAT’S POPPIN in the Bay Area! Steve is off this episode, so we’re handing the hand-chair to guest host Janette Lopez (@madmamalopez)! Joining us is Bobby Martinez of @dandyboyrecords, the Oakland bedroom label built on supporting nice people doing cool shit, here to tell us about Dandy Fest, three nights at Spats celebrating the label’s fifth anniversary! We’re also welcoming musician and writer Erik Core (@erikcoreband), a fixture of the San Francisco and East Bay punk scene for over twenty years, playing an all ages in-store at Rain Dog Records in Petaluma on Saturday 10/3 with The Freak Accident and Crash Outfit! And as house band we have Spencer Noble (@goodforyourbones), who has backed Mayya, Mae Powell, and Juicebumps and now brings his own Nilsson-and-McCartney-loving songwriting to the stage, with a new album on the way! Tune in at 7pm on Twitch, YouTube, or Instagram Live. Past episodes available on YouTube! Link in bio!
