Meet Ellina, one of GoodGesture’s UX researchers! 👋👩‍💻

Her fascination with human behavior led her to a psychology degree, seven years in recruitment, and eventually UX research. She brings an evidence-based mindset and a drive to understand what people actually need, both central to building GoodGesture.

She’s excited about making it easier for organizations to support one another and turn community needs into meaningful action.

Based in the Seattle area, Ellina loves hiking, paddling, making vegan desserts, and learning Spanish. She also walks her neighbors’ dogs, who she considers the absolute best walking partners.

Sometimes generosity and actual need don’t line up 😬

One thing we’ve heard through our research with community organizations is that donations can miss the mark, leaving teams with items they didn’t ask for while the resources they do need are still hard to find.

That’s part of the problem we’re building GoodGesture around.

GoodGesture is an org-to-org coordination platform designed to help community organizations share current needs, connect with partner organizations, and coordinate resources more intentionally.

Because community support works better when organizations can actually tell each other what’s needed.

Meet Snigdha, GoodGesture’s Lead UX Researcher! 👋

With a master’s in Human-Computer Interaction and a passion for using technology for social good, Snigdha helps ensure we build around real community needs, not assumptions.

She was drawn to GoodGesture’s no-nonsense approach to helping people turn posted needs into meaningful action. Through her research, she’s exploring what motivates people to show up for their communities and how technology can strengthen those human connections without adding more noise.

Outside of research, you’ll usually find her reading, exploring an obscure history rabbit hole, or finding somewhere near the water. 🌊
