Jennifer@gardener.com is another way to get ahold of me. I have my food safety certification and lots of clean jars/plastic cutlery. I do have a dog in my home (also grain free) but no cats and no smoking in the home. Soy is present but not often used or ever in flour form. We do use tree nuts here. I can make any recipe vegan/vegetarian and am great with most dietary substitutions/accommodations. Please share widely! #FIONA #PEI by @goodgreengardens

✨ The Herbal Ocean with @sunandgreenherbery 🌊

Week 2 of our collaboration with Angela 💖

For this month July, Pani & Profumi (bread and perfumes), we are going to create a menu every week inspired by her soaps. Awake your senses with just the most surprising flavour combinations!

For this second week, we got inspired by Angela’s “Rosemary & Lavender” soap, that includes teas, infused extra virgin olive oil and essential oils from both herbs and her personally harvested PEI sea salt.

Inside this week’s special loaf, a 10% whole-wheat sourdough, you’ll find rosemary, lavender and provencal-inspired herb mix, all finished with a sprig of rosemary. A gentle, romantic mix that goes perfectly well with a decadent layer of salted butter!

To pair with this delicate loaf, this week’s special pastry is equally beautiful: “The Herbal Ocean” is our signature sourdough croissant, rolled with our house-made pastry cream, scented with PEI lavender and rosemary (from @goodgreengardens), topped with our caramel sauce and PEI sea salt, harvested by Angela herself.

Hi Locals, would you like some fresh sunchokes?

Mine are ready now and I’m taking orders for the next 2 weeks, possibly 3 if the weather holds. Pick up will either be at my place, in Charlottetown, or Summerside.

Prices are 10$/lb
5lbs for $45
10lbs for $85

These are not for everyone, if you are on a low FODMAPS diet these are not for you, some individuals may experience gastric distress if they consume too many, extended boiling is reported to prevent this so they are often consumed in soups. I love them roasted as they get very crispy on the outside and remain soft and fluffy on the inside.

They are a lot like potatoes with nuttier and mildly floral notes. Message for more info!
