Come to @plazaatlanta this Monday at 7pm to see the premiere of “Close Encounters of the Drunk Kind” and all the other entries for the @kodakfilmlabatl 100 Feet of Film project hosted by @atlfilmsociety

Link in my bio for tickets!

Entering this contest is always so much fun and nerve wracking, since 100 feet of 16mm film turns out to be about two and a half minutes of footage to work with in the edit. Footage that, you know, can’t be erased once it’s shot. We also shot this on an old Bolex h16 wind up camera that offers no monitor feed and pretty much forces you to shoot blind. So outside of a light meter we really had no way to tell if we actually got any of the shots. After each take we just had to shrug and go “well, I guess we got it.”

Thank you to everyone who helped throw this project together in such a short window of time:

@chrisrumble1 as “Roy”
@mattingly.eli as “The Alien”
