Hidden Waterfall Near Broken Bow Most Visitors Miss 👀

If you want to explore beyond the usual spots around Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park, check out the Bee Creek and Dyer Mountain Trail in the Ouachita National Forest.

This 14.8-mile off-road trail is perfect if you want mud, mountain views, and a little adventure.

Start along Bee Creek Mountain and stop at the quiet lake lookout at the end of the first peninsula. Most people drive right past it, but it’s a beautiful hidden spot surrounded by trees. Gorgeous lake views!

Then the trail climbs up Dyer Mountain, where you’ll get wide views of the rolling Ouachita ridges. Expect steep climbs, mud, and creek crossings, so a high-clearance 4x4 is definitely recommended.

At the end of the trail, near Cedar Creek Golf Course, you’ll find a hidden waterfall and reflection pond. The small waterfall flows into a calm pond that perfectly mirrors the surrounding forest.

If you don’t want to off-road, you can also reach it near the intersection of 50800 and 50900near the golf course!

It’s one of those peaceful spots that makes the Broken Bow area so special.

Friends Trail follows along the Mountain Fork River and has some of the most stunning views. It’s our favorite trail in Beavers Bend State Park!

It’s the newest trail added to the park. It begins at spillway creek and makes a 1.5 mile loop. It’s an intermediate trail with some rugged terrain and some steep inclines. The trailhead sign makes for a cute photo opp!
