for this interior garden refresh, we focused on giving the plants their own space while making everything feel more connected.

we thinned out the planting and arranged it in intentional clusters, leaving space between each group. we added ferns and moss, brought in feather rock (super lightweight!) and finished with gravel. by @goodroots.la

a lil sneak peek of our total renovation project — the original landscape just wasn’t doing the property any favors, so we’ve been taking almost everything out and starting fresh.

this moment sits right at the entry, and landscaping really sets the tone on arrival. I wanted to lean into the indoor/outdoor feeling of the home while keeping it intentional and not overfilled, and making sure it feels just as right from inside as it does from the outside.

FIVE MONTH PROGRESS // for this Point Dume residence, we planted a mix of shrubs, ornamental grasses, and delicate flowering accents to reflect the natural landscape of the surrounding Santa Monica Mountains.

We wanted the garden to feel like an extension of its surroundings, with soft textures, movement, and a little wildness. Five months later, everything is filling in beautifully and the landscape is starting to take on a life of its own.

Swipe to see the space before our install and right after planting.

day 1 - freshly planted and still so small! by @goodroots.la

A favorite of mine. The view from the powder room. Monstera, alocasia, and star jasmine surround an anchor boulder, a quiet courtyard designed to be seen sur les toilettes🪴😅 by @goodroots.la

we were tasked with adding a potted herb cluster that would actually be utilized (meaning, not a small little plant that runs out after one meal). used these bad boys and absolutely love how it turned out! by @goodroots.la
