Imagine doing your entire year’s revenue…

in 30 days.

That’s what happened when we repositioned this short-term rental and fixed the marketing behind it.

No renovations.
No new amenities.

Just better positioning.
Better messaging.
Better visibility.

Most local businesses don’t have a product problem.
They have a positioning problem.

We help local businesses here in St. Augustine stand out, get seen by the right people, and turn attention into revenue.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start building something intentional, send me a message. by @goodthing.media

Don’t make this mistake.

Talked to a lot of business here in town that said they have tried to use social media for their business.

But they just paid someone to post stock images to their page.

Their heart was in the right place.

But that didn’t solve their initial problem.

They need customers, not posts.

It’s important to be clear about what you are solving for.

We do social media because we know it’s a good tool to use, but how are you using it?

You need new people seeing your service everyday. by @goodthing.media

I know people are going to come to the defense of websites. And I get it.

But be honest. Is it the number one thing bringing you more business?

If your problem is that you need more customers, and your answer is spending a few thousand dollars on a new website, you’re solving the wrong problem first.

There are businesses on Instagram doing serious numbers that don’t even have a website. That alone should make you stop and think.

Everything your website does can live right here.

Who you are. What you do. Your reviews, your wins, how you solve the problem, why you’re different. Put some spend behind it and new people see it every single day.

A holiday post doesn’t do that. Neither does a website sitting on page four of Google.

There are things that can be done, and there are things that should be done. Lately I’ve been focused on the stuff that actually moves the needle.

Here is a limiting belief I want to break for you.

“I don’t have a budget for marketing right now.”

Here’s the problem with that sentence.

You don’t have the option to not market right now.

“I don’t have enough business to market” is backwards thinking.

The whole point of marketing is to get you more business.

You’re mixing up the chicken and the egg.

You don’t have business, so you need to market more than anyone else in your market.

Most people think the safe way to do business is word of mouth.

But if you’re relying on word of mouth, you never know where your next sale is coming from.

You never feel comfortable hiring, because you don’t know if that new hire’s schedule will be full.

Is that really safe?

Real safety is being able to predict how many deals you’re going to close, because your pipeline is full.

And if your marketing is losing you money, I wouldn’t even call it marketing.

Real marketing means putting money out and knowing exactly what money comes back in. by @goodthing.media

Who are we and what do we do?

We do a lot.

And we’ve done it for a long time.

Over a billion dollars in property shot.

Meaning our media was a part of hundreds of millions in closed sales.

Even helping agents sell homes without them stepping foot on the property.

But working that closely with agents, we kept meeting service business owners with the same problem.

They didn’t need more videos.

They needed more customers.

So that’s what we built. A system, not just content. by @goodthing.media

I don’t care about vanity metrics.

Trendy content might get views, but views alone don’t pay the bills.

For service businesses, social media isn’t about being entertaining, it’s about being in front of the right audience.

Most business owners think they need to jump on every trend.

They don’t.

That’s how you end up reaching people who were never going to buy from you.

Clear messaging combined with the right content framework is what actually moves the needle. by @goodthing.media

I do respect the hustle it takes to door knock.

There are real skills that come out of it, and plenty of big businesses were built on it.

You can find a thousand different ways to really try to market your business.

Mailers can work.

Door knocking can work.

You could also argue begging can work. Lol but that doesn’t mean that it’s right.

I just wouldn’t want to spend my time and money using those methods.

If you’ve got a crew knocking doors, take one guy off the street for a month and put him on a local ad strategy instead.

Then compare the numbers.

If your ads aren’t working, you probably skipped a step.

Someone starts running ads, sends people straight to a landing page or their website, and just hopes they buy

Then they wonder why it costs so much and nothing’s converting.

The problem usually isn’t the ad.

It’s that you skipped the top of the funnel.

That’s the part where people first get to know you, before you ever ask for the sale.

Think about how you actually buy. You don’t hand over your money or information the first time you see something. Unless you REALLY want it, you take your time.

On average it takes around 7 touch points before someone feels comfortable enough to buy.

So if you’re showing up once and going straight for the sale, you’re leaving a ton of money on the table.

Warm people up first. Let them see you a few times.

Then you can make the ask 🤙 by @goodthing.media
