Weekends on the field. Weekends in camps. Thanks to Verse Athletics for creating spaces where athletes grow, compete, learn, and lead. There is Will — captain of the Bisons, linebacker, defender, leader, teammate… giving everything he has on the field. And there is a reason he won MVP Football and Most Inspiring Athlete at BCI. Because it isn’t just what he does in a jersey. It is who he is when the jersey comes off. Monday morning looked a little different. No helmet. No pads. No whistle. Just Will at the vet with three brand new babies. Two boys. One girl. Welcome to rescue, little Pet Valu Litter. 🐾 Different field. Same kid. Same heart. Defending the field on weekends. Defending their right to healthy lives on Monday. Defending their chance at love, safety, indoor homes, and the future they deserve. Sometimes I honestly don’t know how he balances it all. Football. Rescue. School. Vet appointments. Fundraisers. Community events. Leadership. Commitment. Heart. And then his report card comes home… 93% academic average. Not because life is quiet. Not because things are easy. Not because there is endless time. Because this kid has discipline. Because he has purpose. Because he understands commitment. Because he knows showing up matters — on the field, in the classroom, and for the tiny lives that depend on him. But we also know this isn’t done alone. There is a whole team behind this kid. Coaches, teachers, mentors, vets, fosters, volunteers, family, donors, friends, community supporters, and every single person who believes in him and in this mission. You are all part of this story. Will may be the kid standing there holding kittens after a weekend of football… but behind him is a whole community helping him become the kind of young man who protects, leads, works hard, and loves big. Welcome, Pet Valu Litter. You landed in the arms of a boy who knows exactly what it means to defend what matters. 💙🐾🏈 taken in Good Will Good Karma by @goodwillgoodkarma

Mentor on and off the field. When Brady Oliveira says your name… you listen. 🏈🐾 Brady took a moment to recognize Will — not just for football, but for heart, leadership, rescue, and the way he uses his platform for good. That is the message. Be more than an athlete. Lead with purpose. Show up for your community. Inspire the next kid watching. Brady, thank you for seeing Will and for being exactly the kind of role model youth athletes need. Watch this one. 💙 #BradyOliveira #WillFinch #GoodWillGoodKarma #YouthSports #FootballWithPurpose BigCatEnergy taken in Winnipeg Blue Bombers - Investors Group Field by @goodwillgoodkarma

🎥🏈 WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO. BIG CAT ENERGY INCOMING. 🐾🔥 Will was at an invite-only Verse Athletics camp in Waterloo, surrounded by serious talent, elite coaching, and athletes putting in the work. Then 519 Sports Online pulled him aside for an impromptu interview — and this is why we love them. They show up for youth sports in the 519. They give young athletes exposure. They celebrate the work, the character, and the stories behind the jerseys. And Verse Athletics? POWERHOUSE. They are building complete athletes — skill, speed, strength, mindset, confidence, exposure, and leadership. But this interview hit different because they didn’t just see Will the football player. They saw Will. BCI Mustang. Brantford Bison. #50. The Big Cat. Founder of Good Will Good Karma. The rescue kid. The leadership kid. The kid who somehow goes from football fields to foster rooms and makes both worlds better. And 2026 has been a YEAR. 🏈 BCI Football MVP 🏆 2026 Most Inspiring Athlete 💛 Volunteer of the Year ⭐ Hometown Hero Award 🤝 Kevin Finney Memorial Award for Sportsmanship and Dedication Football is building him. Rescue is grounding him. Community is backing him. And you already know his mentor Brady Oliveira is cheering him on — Winnipeg Blue Bomber, absolute beast on the field, rescue-hearted leader off the field, and the perfect example of compete hard, care harder. So yes… when 519 Sports, Verse Athletics, Brady, BCI, Bisons, football, rescue, youth leadership, and community all start connecting? Big things are coming. 👀 We may be working on a collab. We may have our eye on one other pretty fabulous guy who shares Will’s name… wink wink, Will Finch QB Coach. 😉 Football things. Rescue things. Leadership things. BIG CAT THINGS. 🏈🐾🔥 taken in Good Will Good Karma by @goodwillgoodkarma

🎩✨ ABRA-CAT-DABRA… WE HAVE A NUMBER! 🐾💰 The money raised? WOW. 🎥 Watch the Reel for our big reveal—including DaCosta Magic’s generous $500 gift AND another top-up today! But what we raised in our young people? PRICELESS. Confidence. Courage. Spirits. Belief. Our youth vendors stood taller. Our BCI and youth volunteers took the lead. They went home believing a little more in themselves—and in MAGIC. ❤️ And speaking of magic… PHIL DaCOSTA. 🤯 We thought we were in for a lovely family magic show. What Phil delivered was jaw-dropping. Little kids were spellbound, 16-year-olds were wide-eyed, and parents were left asking “HOW DID HE DO THAT?!” His talent, humour, and connection with every age in that room were absolutely extraordinary. Phil and Kristine, you gave us an unforgettable show AND donated 100% of ticket proceeds, added $500, and topped it up again today. We are speechless. ❤️ Our gratitude is enormous: ❤️ Soos family, for making this possible. Covered the venue rental!!! 🎈 Balloon Kitty, for bringing the WOW. Above and beyond Nadia's creation was mind blowing! 🏭 Jamie at the Rope Factory, for the beautiful space...everyone loved the ambiance! 🎸 Daniel Soos, for sharing his musical talents. BCI student who played his heart out. 📸 Brooke, BCI student/photographerfor capturing our youth in action. 📰 Thomas and B Scene Magazine, for showing up and spotlighting these kids. 🎃 Robin Crockett & Beth Welsh, for the Halloween smiles. 🫶 Our extraordinary adult volunteers, for doing EVERYTHING behind the scenes. 🍕 Mariano’s Pizza, Maria’s West, Altitude Coffee, Devlin’s Country Bistro & Catalyst Investigations, for your support. ❤️ Dad, Jada and Mum, for making the family teamwork happen. And to everyone who bought tickets, donated, shared posters, joined us, or cheered a kid on: YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN. More personal thank-yous and Brooke’s photos are coming! We set out to raise money to save animals. And we DID. Along the way, we raised confidence in the next generation—and a little belief in the impossible. ✨ THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN THE MAGIC! 🎩🐾❤️ taken in The Rope Factory Event Hall by @goodwillgoodkarma

☕🐾 ALTITUDE COFFEE TO THE RESCUE… AGAIN!!! ❤️ I remembered the kids. The vendors. The volunteers. The magic. The prizes. The pizza. The cannoli. BUT FORGOT THE COFFEE FOR THE ADULTS!!! 🤦‍♀️🤣 Enter RYAN from Altitude Coffee! ☕❤️ One last-minute, sleep-deprived momma plea and he said YES!!! He generously donated the use of his coffee machine AND a scale to measure the coffee. A SCALE, PEOPLE! Apparently making coffee is a science! 🤣 So I called Marlene to come with me. Because surely TWO sleep-deprived mommas could remember ONE set of brewing instructions?! 😂😂 And of course, she showed up. AGAIN. ❤️ Ryan even treated us to coffee! But here's what I really love. Walk into Altitude and you'll see community support EVERYWHERE. Ryan was even wearing a Why Not Youth hoodie! ❤️ We've supported his Pay It Forward coffee pucks because we believe in what he does. And here he is believing in what OUR kids are doing. THIS. IS. COMMUNITY. ❤️ Small businesses. Big hearts. People showing up for the next generation. Ryan, THANK YOU for rescuing this exhausted momma and making sure our adults get their caffeine fix! 🤣☕ And Marlene… you really need to stop answering my calls. 😂❤️ 🎩 ABRA-CAT-DABRA! 📍 Rope Factory, Brantford 📅 Sunday, October 18 🛍️ FREE Youth Market: 12–2:45 & 4–5:30 ✨ DaCosta Magic Show: 3–4 PM (ticket required) BRING THE KIDS. BRING CASH. SUPPORT OUR YOUTH. And parents… WE HAVE COFFEE!!! ☕🤣❤️ #AltitudeCoffee #AbraCATdabra #GoodWillGoodKarma #SupportLocal #Brantford CommunitySupportingCommunity YouthEntrepreneurs taken in Altitude Coffee Roasters by @goodwillgoodkarma

🎩🐾 WAIT. WHAT?! OUR ENTIRE EVENT HALL RENTAL... COVERED?! 😭❤️ Some people support a fundraiser. And then there's the SOOS FAMILY! Becca, Mark, Daniel & Emily sponsored our ENTIRE Rope Factory rental for ABRA-CAT-DABRA! 🥹 And the story gets BETTER! They bid on a Rope Factory rental gift certificate donated to our Fur Ball auction. They WON IT... then turned around and used it to help us host ANOTHER fundraiser! They supported one fundraiser so we could hold another. WHO DOES THAT?! ❤️ Naturally, I asked Becca for a family photo so we could recognize them. SHE SENT ME THIS. 📸 FOUR CATS. ALL RESCUES. Not Becca. Not Mark. Not Daniel. Not Emily. 🤣 Apparently, the cats are management and the humans are unpaid staff. This family ALWAYS makes us laugh. And they ALWAYS show up for us! AND THEY'RE NOT DONE! 🎶 DANIEL SOOS, 17-year-old BCI musician, songwriter and composer, will be performing Sunday! Stop, listen and show his tip jar some love! 🎨 BECCA SOOS will have a booth showcasing her beautiful, fantasy-inspired artistic creations. I genuinely don't think this woman realizes how talented she is! Please visit her booth and show her just how special her creativity is. ❤️ And Mark and Emily complete this wonderfully funny, artistic, cat-loving family with enormous hearts! But here's what makes this gift so meaningful. They didn't just cover the cost of a hall. They helped create a space where young entrepreneurs can dream, young volunteers can lead, young artists can shine, and our rescue can continue helping animals. They believe in our kids. They believe in our mission. And they just keep showing up. ❤️ Becca, Mark, Daniel & Emily... THANK YOU for your generosity, friendship, laughter and unwavering support of Will and GWGK. WE LOVE YOU GUYS! ❤️ And to the four rescued cats who apparently approved the family photo... Thanks for letting your humans out of the house. We promise to return them before dinner! 🤣🐾 🎩 ABRA-CAT-DABRA! 📅 Sunday, October 18 📍 Rope Factory, Brantford 🛍️ FREE Youth Market: 12–2:45 & 4–5:30 🪄 Magic Show: 3 PM (ticket required) #GoodWillGoodKarma #AbraCATDabra #Brantford #SupportYouth #CommunityKindness taken in The Rope Factory Event Hall by @goodwillgoodkarma

🚨📚🐟 MOVE OVER, BIG-NAME AUTHORS… BRANTFORD HAS A 10-YEAR-OLD STORYTELLER MAKING WAVES! 🌊✨ Meet EVERETT NICKMANN! ❤️ At just TEN years old, Everett has written his very own short chapter book, The Adventures of Anne Chovies! 📖 And THAT COVER?! 🤯 Everett is bringing his imagination to life at our Abra-CAT-dabra Youth Vendor Market THIS SUNDAY! But here's what makes this young author even more special to our GWGK family. 🐾 Everett and his little brother Spencer live right behind us. They're among our FIRST calls when kittens need extra cuddles, and they happen to have THREE kitties of their own. Pretty sure we might be responsible for that. 🤣🐱 REMEMBER THEIR EPIC BAKE SALE?! 🧁 At the end of September, these two incredible brothers raised JUST OVER $1,000 FOR OUR RESCUE! ❤️ Now Everett is adding AUTHOR to his growing list of accomplishments! And THIS is why we believe so fiercely in giving young people a platform. Because sometimes all a child needs is someone to believe in their ideas, encourage their imagination and give them a place to shine. Everett isn't just writing about adventures. He's already living one. ❤️ 📚 Come meet Everett, support a young LOCAL author and take home a little piece of his imagination! Who knows? You might just be holding the first book of a future bestselling author. 😉 📍 Rope Factory Event Hall, Brantford 📅 Sunday, October 18 🛍️ FREE Youth Market: 12–2:45 & 4–5:30 PM 🎩 3 to 4 pm Dacosta Magic Show (tickets $15 with 💯 % proceeds to GWGK) The magic isn't just happening on the stage Sunday. It's happening behind every youth vendor table. 🪄❤️ #AbraCATdabra #GWGK #EverettNickmann #YoungAuthor #Brantford SupportLocalYouth taken in The Rope Factory Event Hall by @goodwillgoodkarma
