Thoughtful travel doesn’t happen by accident. Behind every smooth, meaningful trip is learning, training, and experience — not just knowing what to book, but understanding how a trip should feel. We invest the time so our clients don’t feel rushed, overwhelmed, or unsure — and instead get a trip that leaves room for connection, wonder, and presence. 💬 Ready for planning that goes deeper than an itinerary? Send us a message and let’s start there. — Goofy Getaways is a Travel Agency that specializes in Disney and Universal travel, creating thoughtfully planned vacations where every traveler feels seen, valued, and celebrated. Being an independent Travel Advisor doesn't mean figuring it all out alone. Jess walks through what Goofy Getaways gives its advisors, from training to Canva templates to dashboards, and the resource she leans on most: the rest of the team. A vacation lasts a week. The memories from it last a lifetime, and that's what Amy says Travel Advisors are really selling. It's also why she's upfront about what the job asks of you: telling friends about your new business, and committing to keep learning through trainings and fam trips so you know the destinations you sell. It's easy to talk about the travel advisor job like it's a dream. Amy would rather you hear the whole picture, including the not-so-fun parts, even if it means you decide this job isn't for you. In Part 2 of "So You Want to Be a Travel Advisor," she and two of our advisors share the red flags, the green flags, and what this work really takes, whether you join Goofy Getaways or another great agency. Bourbon Street at night is loud, crowded, and expensive if you're not careful with the bead guys (ask Aly how she knows). But the New Orleans Travel Advisor Aly actually fell in love with showed up the next morning — quiet streets, easy walks to the French Market, and beignets at the original Café Du Monde that lived up to every bit of hype. One of our advisors specializing in first-time and destination travel, Aly Anderson, just shared everything she wishes she'd known before her first trip — swamp tours with alligators close enough to touch a stick, a courtyard dinner under string lights at The Court of Two Sisters, and the one thing she didn't expect to see near her luxury hotel. Comment BEIGNET and we'll send you the full post. Real talk: our advisors have stories as good as the trips they plan. This week, that's Noddea Skidmore — Grand Rapids-based, five years in, and one of our advisors specializing in LGBTQIA+ travelers, bestie getaways, couples, and festival-loving crews (she's also our VP of Onboarding & Company Culture). She told us about the journaling workshop that pointed her toward this career, the ticketing mix-up she still remembers from her first weeks on the job, and the $10 gadget she never packs without. Comment MEET NODDEA and we'll send you her full story. We'll admit it: Nassau has never been our favorite cruise port. But Royal Caribbean's new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island may have changed that in one afternoon. Advisor Katie Lewis — one of our advisors specializing in first-ever Walt Disney World and Disneyland trips, who also blends in outdoor-adventure travel from her home base in the Rocky Mountains — took her family and splurged on a beach cabana. Food and drinks delivered right to their spot, a quiet corner of Paradise Beach all to themselves, and service that made a busy beach day feel completely hands-off. Want the full breakdown of what's included, what it costs, and whether the splurge is worth it for your family? Comment CABANA and we'll send you the link. Moms, this one is for you! If planning the family vacation always seems to fall on your shoulders, you probably aren’t really getting a vacation. You’re already balancing busy school schedules, meals, and all the other things that go into taking care of your family. Now you add in the extra time to research and plan a trip, you’re already burnt out and dreading the thing you should be excited for. Hiring a Travel Advisor means that you can spend less time taking care of everyone and more time enjoying your vacation right alongside them. You deserve it! Goofy Getaways is a Travel Agency that specializes in Disney and Universal travel, creating thoughtfully planned vacations where every traveler feels seen, valued, and celebrated.
