Now felt like the right time to introduce you to the Gordie behind Gordie’s kitchen.

When I cook, my goal is to make people as excited about food as this boy gets for any snack or treat.

Nothing beats baking in the fall, and Broma Bakery’s brown butter chocolate chip cookies constantly find their way into my rotation. One bowl, insanely delicious, and so worth the extra time to brown the butter 💛🍂 by @gordieskitchen

APPLE PIE SYRUP 🍎🍂✨
Ingredients
	•	2 apples, peeled and diced
	•	2 tbsp butter
	•	½ cup brown sugar
	•	1 tsp cinnamon
	•	½ tsp nutmeg
	•	½ cup water, plus more as needed (about 1 cup total)

Directions
	1.	Cook the apples: Add the diced apples, butter, and brown sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the butter has melted and the brown sugar has dissolved into the mixture.
	2.	Add the spices: Stir in the cinnamon and nutmeg, then add ½ cup of water.
	3.	Simmer: Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture gently simmer, stirring occasionally. Continue cooking until the apples are very soft and the liquid has become syrupy. Add additional water as needed throughout cooking to prevent the mixture from becoming too thick or sticking to the bottom of the pan. You’ll use approximately 1 cup of water total.
	4.	Strain: Once the apples are completely softened and the syrup has developed a rich apple-pie flavour, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing gently on the apples to extract as much syrup as possible.
	5.	Cool and store: Let the syrup cool before transferring it to a clean jar or bottle. Store refrigerated. by @gordieskitchen
