Hey folks, the Artist here, starting off the new year right! ~50 feet of rope was my last work of the old year (won't last more than a week or two, tbh) and this Fart Squirrel commission was my first work of the New Year!
We admit it, we think we may have Startled 2025 a bit the way we were talking about last year, so we are starting things off more gently in 2026, so as not to make the new year Panic and try to run off on us again.
We are continuing to grow and try new things here at GC, so you can expect to keep seeing some fun new stuff here as we move into our full scale '26 plan.

SAD NEWS: Hey folks, long time no read. This is The Owl, speaking on the behalf of the artist. I'm not much on social media these days but I'm still around, lurking in the background. I need to request everyone's understanding for a bit. Keith's work out out has slowed down in the last two months and, regardless of what I tell him, he feels geniunely bad about that. This effects things like custom orders and booth stock. He's still making chainmaille but the will to make it has taken a downswing. You see, the day before CRF opened, one of his beloved pet rats, Mikey, passed away; and, late last night, Mikey's brother, Raphael, joined him crossing the rainbow bridge. I'm sure most of you understand the depth of grief from losing a pet (much less two). Mikey and Raph (as well as their two remaining brothers) came to Keith earlier this year and it has done him a world of good. Mikey especially was his little buddy and Raph...well, there was a reason he was named after that specific Turtle. We request your understanding during this time as Keith processes his grief and puts his boys to rest. Thank you. by @gorgeouschain

The king sat with his court and worried. His tail quivered, and both royals and guards alike could see nervousness in the set of his tail and ears. Despite the danger, or maybe because of it, more members of his Forest Kingdom had turned out, having visited the Ageless Armorer themselves, to heed The Call. And now the most unexpected Ally of them all; the Dragon Squirrel from tales of the Old Wood, come with his own forces, creatures from legends and stories, were arriving in his Hall.

They would meet the threats, and the king was sure that with these allies, they would prevail. by @gorgeouschain

A new year, and in deep in the Wood, a new King of the squirrels had been crowned, and chosen his court. He had heard the tales (tails?) of his predicessor, and he knew he needed to be Careful in his own efforts to protect his people.
While he knew that there was great potential, and great danger, to be found in the Fall, he also knew that there was safer investigation to be made in the Spring of these creatures and their needs.
He would not risk the members of his court, not yet, but he had many Scouts at his disposal, and several allies of the Wood who could gather the information they needed, and bring it back safely.
But his court assassains and his youngest daughter had other plans....

And little did they know, that the Pirates who had come to the Wood had Still Other plans, and thanks to the preparation of their Capitan, the pirates plan would prove to be the best. by @gorgeouschain

FB has reminded us that we haven't posted here in nearly 90 days now.
It wasn't really intentional; at first everyone was really busy post CRF, and tired out. Then it was holiday travel. Then the new year hit and we were struggling with what the new year would bring, then it was event prep and, and, and....
Most of all, there is a sense that this platform has run its course, and that new folks don't find us here or follow us here.
And of course, there is the reality that the Artist would rather be making Maille than posting about it.
The point is, I suppose, that while you will keep seeing us on here, you are likely to see less of us. It's a sign that we are working hard. But it's also a sign that we are Tired.
We will keep trying to post during and leading up to Shows to help folks find us.
