Hey y'all!

A lot of people have been reaching out asking how I'm doing so I figured I'd make a post to update everyone.

I'm home and healing slowly. Couple doctors visits coming up to figure it all out but for now glad to be here.

I'm eternally grateful for all the support from the community and especially from those close to me, you know who you are! I wouldn't be here without the support from the homies, my family and of course the greatest wife in world, Coco ❤️

The community has greatly come to my aid in my time of need. It's ironic I decided to start a Rider Relief Fund and of course had to be the trial run 🤣

I've got a lot of time on my hands and I've been trying to think about how to stay occupied while I'm out so I've decided to take some online courses focusing on non-profit development and management.

It has been truly amazing to see how the #bikechi community looks out for each other and it's my hope to grow the Ride Local into something the city can rally behind. To give back in any way I can.

As hard as Chicago may try you can't keep me down. I will be back and stronger than ever in part thanks to all of you!

Howdy! We're a little less than a week away from the Ice Cream Social Ride so I figured now's a good time to post the route!

5.5 miles of extra chill streets and a good section of the North Shore Channel Trail!

As a reminder: the pace will be ~10-11mph, we will stop at lights/stop signs and regroup as often as needed. No need to speed ahead this is not a race, the ice cream won't taste any better the faster you get there.

Hey y'all

It's been a long three months but last week I was cleared to slowly cruise around the neighborhood and get my legs back. I've got a ways to go before I can put down some double digit miles but I put down a few miles around Albany Park yeserday morning!

Riding alone is fine but y'all know I like riding with peeps! Coco had brought up the idea of me hosting "Bill's First Ride Back" so while riding the stationary bike at PT earlier this week I cooked up a fun group ride idea!

I'm teaming up with the fine folks @igordoesmybike and we're riding to get ice cream!

Igor and I have been chatting about doing a ride for over a year now and he was very interested in being a part of my first ride back so we're excited to present:

🍦 The Ice Cream Social Ride 🍦

Sunday September 20th. 5454 N Broadway.
5:15pm meet up. 5:45pm roll out.

5.5 miles. Very mellow streets and bike paths. All bikes welcome. Expect a super casual 10mph pace.

Bring your friends or come and make some new ones. I'm hoping you'll come out. It'll be nice to ride with some homies! by @goridelocal

Some photos from the Bill Benefit.

Super grateful for the homies who put on the benefit last night to help with my recovery. Couldn't ask for a better group of people to call my friends.

Chicago goes hard and the show was bumpin!

I've got a lot of love for the Chicago bike community and the city as a whole. This is my city and I'm glad to be here.

It's been an emotional couple months and I've still got more recovery to go but things are looking up!

Thank you to all involved in the gig, you know who you are and I appreciate the frick out of y'all. Also Coco I love you and thank you for putting up with my slightly broken behind on the regular. by @goridelocal

Just 2 more days until Cash Cat 2! Friday May 8th, 5:30 pm in the Alley we have another quick banger for a quick buck. $10 but in, 50/50 Winner takes half, half goes to the TripleC planning fund.

Also, @lunatic.harness has been working on a project for the event and he needs more portraits of Chicago messengers - current and former welcome to take part. Reach out to us or him to get in on the fun!

Finally we are only a few weeks out, t-shirt order is in, and we're excited to see you all here in Chicago.

CashCat is back y'all. The alley was bumpin!

Solid turnout and a super cutty downtown manifest.
