ARCHIVE REIMAGINED ✨ I’ve decided to bring my archive back to life. Over the years, I created hundreds of makeup, art makeup and body painting looks through workshops, shows and creative projects around the world. Some ideas remain timeless. Others return as fashion, art and beauty move in cycles. That’s why I want to restore, revisit and reimagine these works with today’s technology — while preserving the original concept and artistry behind them. This Art Makeup was created during my workshops in Tallinn in 2010–2011. CLANCY BROWN, AS YOU’VE NEVER SEEN HIM. Last week, Clancy joined me in my Downtown Los Angeles studio for a portrait I’d imagined for years: an actor at a table, surrounded by bread, wine and fruit, lit like an Old Master painting. We made two portraits without moving the set. In one, he’s lost in thought. In the next, he looks straight into the lens with that unmistakable glint of mischief. Then we stripped everything back for a modern headshot and a smile. Thank you, Clancy, for bringing so much to every frame—and for letting me rearrange the tomatoes.
