#Zardah (saffron coloured rice) with #dahiballe - miss this. Our MaaJi used to make this. And no matter how full I may be but if it is served in the Gurdwara I always have space for it. Done with a twist with a drizzle of a tamarind concentrate with brown sugar. #Zardah has #cashews #almonds and coconutflake by @gormruben

@rochnakaur bakes: This was a two day process. She prepared the #mashmallowfluff from scratch on 8 Aug. Then today (9 Aug) she made the cookie dough and froze the cookie balls. Then she baked. It was so delicious and not too sweet - just the way I like. #cookie
She made the choc chunks (which consisted of melted white choc, chopped tiramisu lady fingers, hazelnuts and espresso - see the last photo). Then cookie dough made with #brownbutterespresso then layered hazelnuts throughout. A lot of hard work - but she has the patience. taken in Serangoon, Singapore by @gormruben

So one of my colleagues organised this #sourdoughbread painting class conducted by @northyeastline - there were 7 of us. We went after work on 26 June. You paint with edible paints and while the sourdough is baking, you have dinner. Four courses. Really good. Menu changes every four months. The wife and husband team are very in sync with one another and work seamlessly. Excellent service. And yes you can also buy the #homemadebutters and #homemadecheese spread. Desert was a #lemonposette - basically a #creambrulee taken in Hougang by @gormruben

Since we were staying at an Airbnb along Jalan Jawa, we walked to this place for breakfast. We were heading to @babakaya.my but the waiting time was not in our favour. So we went to @ban_kheng_cafe instead. All that my sister @sokhjeet and I shared. Malaysia has 3 on the list. #world100bestcoffeeshop @sokhjeet and we tried the #chilledcoffee as it was so hot - yeah it is smooth and full bodied. Worth a visit. We tried the food here - was attracted by the name (I know my coriander - it must have the distinct aromatic smell). We loved the #brinjal with #vegan sauce (there is a non-vegan version too), the #omelette was so fluffy (the secret is in the flame). But the #devilchickencurry - I can spot it when the potato is boiled separately and the chicken is cooked separately and then added to the curry. But still okay. Worth a visit. So usually either my children or I bake but I decided to try a cake from @amritas_sg. I ordered the #veganchocolatecake - it is rich, moist and decadent. Sometimes a vegan cake can be pretty dense. But this was well balanced. And not too sweet. She's a former teacher who transformed her passion for baking into a thriving cake business, navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship with dedication and creativity. Her background in education has equipped her with essential skills such as planning and multitasking. Each cake she creates not only serves as a culinary delight but also brings joy to celebrations within her community.
