Today marks the very first official Anne Rice Day! 🫀

Last Friday, October 2, the LA City Council passed a resolution declaring October 4 as the Anne Rice Day~ an annual celebration of her immortal legacy on her birthday.

The photo of the resolution was taken by my dear friend @mjrojas28 at @rarebooksla's Union Station event!

Part One to be uploaded on Halloween! During season one of IWTV, the AMC socials posted a couple of “book to screen” clips which showed how much of the work was adapted. We wanted to do the same for scenes from The Vampire Lestat book using the new audiobook narrated by Vikas Adam @vikasadam and Paul Boehmer as well as other scenes from the Vampire Chronicles that made it in. This is a collaborative editing art project to bring together moments from The Vampire Lestat book into the world of TVL the show. Many moments will be our own interpretations which you may or might not agree with.

The Book to Screen: TVL editing series is done in collaboration by gorrei_vc & @vampirechronicles_ by @gorrei_vc

Thank you for helping reach my goal of $200 for my birthday charity event for @plannedparenthood !! Yesterday I started with a goal of $100 that pleasantly surprised me to reach so quickly!! Whether you have been following me since the beginning or just happened across my fundraiser thank you 💜💜 the fundraiser will stay up till the end of October! Let’s see if it can go further! #iwtv #interviewwiththevampire #thevampirelestat #plannedparenthood #tvl by @gorrei_vc

Happy Jojo Friday!! Jojo is just one big Anne Rice reference!! If you are a IWTV/TVL fan I highly recommend giving Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure a try. They both have similar depths of camp and music inspirations that also ties into the queer community. And both authors have an obsession with men loving each other. (Don’t worry there’s a an all female/nonbinary main cast for part 6 of jojo and it’s amazing) Let me know if you’ve seen any Jojo and Anne Rice comparisons! Thank you @vampirechronicles_ for letting me use your fantastic and terrifying family tree! #iwtv #tvl #jjba #jojobizarreadventure #interviewwiththevampire by @gorrei_vc

It’s my birthday!! 🎉 And you know that that means? Bi-visibility day! Interview with the Vampire 1994 deleted scenes! And Jojo Fridays are back! What a week!! The best present is a donation to @plannedparenthood to help every vampire have free and affordable healthcare and an access to a healthy planned parenthood. 💜 If you can’t donate, feel free to like, repost, or add to stories to boost! If you’d like you can also donate/tip to me directly at my ko-fi, link in bio 💜 #iwtv #tvl #thevampirelestat #charity #fundraiser by @gorrei_vc
