Are you looking for another Hustle in LA, but want something different? Do you want to want to learn a fun partner dance you can do at parties? Do you like Disco, House & R&B music? Then look no further!

Starting in September at Motivo, we will be teaching a 5-part series to get you started dancing Latin Hustle, the most fun partner dance in the whole world.

This course will be covering the basics of Latin Hustle, including count structure, footwork, connection, beginner turns and movements. We will also discuss the interesting evolution and culture of this unique dance from the 1970's. We hope to create an inclusive and safe community that will help Hustle thrive in LA.

About Hustle:
Originating from Puerto Rican teenagers in the 1970’s New York, the Latin Hustle started from blending Afro-Cuban partner dances like Mambo and Salsa over underground Disco tracks. Over time it evolved to become an energetic dance with many turns, travels and intricate patterns. It was developed by an intersection of Black, Brown and LGBTQ+ minorities, embodying the spirit of liberation and self-empowerment that was taking place during that time.
The dance was made internationally famous by the hit movie Saturday Night Fever becoming a viral dance craze that helped bring social partner dancing back into popular culture. Today the dance is embraced by thousands around the world and fits perfectly with Disco, House, R&B and any popular dance music with a beat. It remains a vital part of American culture, as it is the latest partner dance that was created in the United States. taken in Motivo L.A. by @gorrem.alt

I got a dance with @chewyaki! at @hustleclub_bk

Chewy always makes Hustle look and feel effortless when I dance with her, she's so good! What a great time.

Hustle Club BK continues to be a destination for us whenever we return to New York, definitely hit it up if you're looking to dance! I'll post more soon from our time in NY.

A rare capture of Michelle and I Hustling to @wholenotecollective at @goldengroove.la to start of the night.

Thanks for the capture @gaganewburn
Still processing and recovering from an amazing weekender! It was really great to see so much turn out just from California, let alone other states and countries, all in our town!
It was actually surreal to have that many people in a space I'm used to teaching in every week, now filled with live music and dancers. We didn't have FOMO for once, as we are rarely able to leave home for Hustle events. Thanks so much to the team for making it happen-- the attention to detail, grounding roots, accessibility, live sound, eating and partying experiences, really showcased what Hustle events can be.

Will post more soon, please send us any video of us you might have taken, we would appreciate it.
