Part 2 of my Coraline tattoo series🗝️

I really like this design, so I was happy to finally turn it into a tattoo

For the video, I decided to use "End Credits" from the Coraline soundtrack. And here’s a little fun fact: the vocals in this song aren’t actually in a real language. Bruno Coulais created made-up words and sounds specifically for the soundtrack, giving the vocals that strange, mysterious and almost otherworldly feeling

I’ve always loved how eerie and unique the Coraline soundtrack is, and I think End Credits fits the atmosphere of this little tattoo perfectly

Happy October, everyone🍂

October is finally here, and I swear I can already feel the whole atmosphere changing. It’s been raining outside my window, the weather is getting colder, and everything just feels a little more autumnal🎃☕️

This is honestly my favourite time of the year. I love the darker atmosphere, rainy days, cozy evenings, Halloween movies and, of course, everything spooky

So naturally, I needed to start October with something that fits the mood. And what could be better than Coraline? 🗝️

I’ve already transferred the stencil onto a fresh sheet of fake skin, and this is just a little preview for now

The full tattoo process is coming this Saturday

Spooky season is here 🎃

I first watched Coraline on TV when I was around 11, and it completely enchanted me. It left such a strong impression on me

Around that time, I was also starting to become really drawn to the darker atmosphere in movies and especially to Tim Burton’s films. Looking back, I think those things may have already had some influence on the person I would become

So I thought the time right before Halloween was the perfect excuse to fill a fresh sheet of fake skin with something from Coraline🗝️

Sometimes I use stencils like this to practice my lines
It’s a really useful thing, especially for beginners in tattooing 🙂

Part 2 of my fake skin tattoo journey so far

Looking back at all the pieces I’ve done, I’m really happy with some of them but unfortunately, not all of them turned out the way I wanted🙈

Some were experiments, some were learning experiences, and some I would probably do very differently now

But that’s all part of the journey. Trying, making mistakes, learning from them, and slowly getting better with every piece

I still have a long way to go, but I’m really happy to see how much I’ve learned so far #tattoojourney #tattoolearning #tattooprocess #tattooartistjourney #tattoobeginner by @gotam.ink

I started practicing on fake skin back in December 2025, before I even started this blog. I’ve been sharing my tattoo journey for about 6 months now, and these are the results I’ve achieved so far.

During this time, I’ve only had 2 experiences tattooing real skin. So yeah, my progress probably hasn’t been the fastest, but I’m okay with that. I’m learning at my own pace and trying to improve with every piece.

I’ve never been to art school. I’m pretty good at recreating existing designs, but drawing something from scratch is still something I’m learning.

I also work as a nurse, so tattooing is just my hobby for now, and I don’t always have a lot of free time for it. I try to practice at least 1–2 times a week whenever I can.

Some pieces worked out, some definitely didn’t😅 But every single one taught me somethin

I still have a lot to learn, but looking back at where I started, I’m really happy with how far I’ve come
